Does anyone like Indy this weekend? What if their defense shows up and shuts down Baltimore's average offense?

can't see them doing it b2b....also i think last weeks performance was more of kc being completely flat than all of a sudden indy finding a defense.

i look at it this way....if ron dayne & houston could run on indy..why can't balt.....& i also like how balt. matches up with indy's offense. but don't go by me..in one of my worse slumps in years.

I think this is a bad matchup for Baltimore. I can certainly see Baltimore winning this game but feel that this one stays within the number.

I agree that Baltimores offense can be very stagnant as well. It'll all depend on if they can get Lewis going early.

I personally think Baltimore wins like 26-17 or something like that, but it seems almost too obvious.

tp...

why do you think it's a bad matchup for balt ?

i think balt. matches up very well with indy...

history has shown if a team is physical with indy they will not repond....& balt. is a very physical team...they are also rated #5 in pass defense & have sacked the qb about 45 times which i think leads the league...i think peyton will have happy feet on saturday.....on offense i think balt. will be able to run on indy's small defense, which is suited for indoors...i see balt. being able to control the clock.

I dunno, maybe its more of a gut feeling. A couple things I do think about with this matchup is what Steve Smith was able to do in Baltimore when Carolina made the trip there. Also, looking back to the Ravens' home schedule there was only one real test and that was the San Diego game. Baltimore probably shouldve lost that game. Cincy also gave them a handful at home.

I think Indy can put enough pressure on the Baltimore defense to make it a little less comfortable for the Baltimore offense and perhaps Indy catches a couple breaks.

I also think the fact that Manning plays a subpar game against the Chiefs helps Indy, especially going into a game against the Baltimore defense. I think the concentration level from Manning will be very high.

i got balt. at -3 when the lines first came out...& will stick with it.

I just see the Ravens as another road block for the Colts. Another east coast, outdoors playoff game against a great D. Just like when they lost to the Pats in NE a few years ago.

Best of luck to you too friend.

One thing that you can guarantee is that if Indy is gonna win or stay within this number, they're gonna have to earn it. I dont like betting against Billick especially when I'll have Dungy on my side. If theres a sure bet in this matchup its that Billick willl have his team ready to play.

Yea, he's a big pussy. Has never missed a snap in his career.

What a wuss....

      :jerkit:

Earlier this year, I saw Manning get broke in half, hit low then closelined at the head bending his body in half.......he might of missed one snap there or maybe they called timeout after that........in any case if 99% of the guys on this board took a hit like that, they'd be laying on the turf in the shape of a pretzel...........i fall into the 1%:142smilie

bro...you know i respect you......you`re my bud......but,i don`t like this match-up for the ravens.....

i`ll try and be objective...

some still think the ravens are a powerful running team...they aren`t....

look at the ravens` rushing stats this year....not good...they avg`d 3.4 ypc......and their best ypc guy is out(musa smith at 4.2)...jamal lewis isn`t the same guy he used to be..they still run him...but they are constantly in 2nd and 3rd and 8`s......if this were the old jamal,i`d be balls to the wall on the ravens to go all the way...and if they had another corner to go with chris mcallister...

maybe he breaks out this week against the colts....but,he really hasn`t had a breakout game this year.... `
he doesn`t have much burst...he dances way to much for a guy that`s built like a bull....
and i can`t tell you how vulnerable samari rolle is at corner.....he`s so bad......and i know the colts know that,too....

but...then there`s mcnair....i loved him at tennessee....but he`s even more than i`d hoped...he`s the difference between 6-10 and 13-3.....that`s it in a nutshell..mcnair........the consumate leader...cool as a cucumber.....a big game guy...lord, he`s good....

and their fullback ovie mughelli had a break-out year...he runs hard...and can catch the ball out of the backfield...

the ravens are now more of a controlled passing team than a successful running team......

the crowd will be insane....this is more than just a playoff game for b`more....theres history here, don`t forget....and the baltimore fans haven`t forgotten....

i`m wondering about the raven`s mental next week if they handle the colts........because of the colt hatred...i know the current players weren`t around...but,the media is whipping up the old "irsay leaving in the night" angle...it`s ravens mania in b`more....it`s crazy...

still,i may play indy small..passing teams give us hell...cincy`s always tough for us.....i have a weird feeling that indy may surprise...and be more focused than when they had home field advantage last year...

they are in cap hell next year...very little cap space available......lots of free agents possibly leaving....this may be the last hurrah for indy for awhile...

i`m a ravens guy...but,people are talking super bowl like it`s a foregone conclusion....

i`m worried that they think that the colts will be fodder....that sounds crazy...but,that`s their mentality sometimes...way to cocky.....

g.l. whatever you do...

I have to agree, Indy can make this lopsided. But let's not forget "The Dungy Factor". He can screw up a one car funeral.

gw....

i know balt's running attack is not what it was in the past. however, if houston could run for about 130 yards on indy, with ron dayne as their featured running back, then balt. should be able to do it with lewis & anderson. indy's run defense is very light...balt. should be able to over power them.
