I agree with what this guy said, I am over these guys....Wish I had BDB's money to go and play with some of them.

These guys are basically glorified monopoly players, and they try to cultivate these off-the-wall personas because they feel that they are more marketable that way. It's pretty weak. 95% of it is 100% acting, in an effort to make it entertaining for the viewer so the cash keeps flowing in. These poker players can't believe what's happened to them in the last 5 or 6 years. Before ESPN elevated them to rock-star status, they were merely looked upon with curiousity (with a little bit of mistrust) by mainstream America. A lot of these players in these tournaments are bustouts that had their entry-fee staked by backers.

poker boom is over thank goodness....or at least on it way down. again thank goodness.

it had its 2 year run.

these guys were just in it at the right time and marketed themselves well. props to them.

agents is somewhat correct that a lot of the tournament tv guys are busto and begging for dough.

the only show i ever remotely watched on tv poker related was the gsn high stakes show. i found that interesting to watch. the new season starts monday on gsn.

and agent, these guys are worth millions. i don't have close to having money for that game nor would i want to play with a bunch of babies. theres enough out there in lesser games. they just aren't on tv.
