Presidente Vincente Fox has announced that Mexico will not participate in the next Summer Olympics.

The reason is that....

anyone who can run, jump, or swim...has already left the country !

The latest telephone poll taken by the office of the Governors of Texas, California, and Arizona asked whether people who live in their states think illegal immigration is a serious problem:

35% of respondents answered: "Yes, it is a serious problem."
65% of respondents answered: "No es una problema serio."

don't you think that mexico should take care of it's own people ? like the u.s. & canada do ?

do you enjoy paying higher taxes or better yet do your parents enjoy paying higher taxes to cover the medical expenses of illegals coming into this country ?

well i don't....& that's why i didn't move to your beautiful state.....because there is a race between your state & a few northeastern states on which state will become the first to drain every cent out of the pockets of the hard workers of the respective states in taxes to pay for various programs.

and tell us socalyo....how much do you give to charity to help the poor ?

probably not enough but at least I don't find humor in their missfortunes.

I don't know why this rubbed me the wrong way yesterday (probably because I had about 8 beers in me) but I guess you thought it was funny enough to share and theres nothing wrong with that.

BTW - My dad passed away 5 years ago and my Mom is retired and doesn't have to pay property taxes.

I too think it is unfair to categorize the entire Mexican poulation in this manner. I have spent a lot of time in Mexico and find the people there to be generally hard working and with a higher moral fiber than most Americans. Granted, illegal immigration is a serious problem but I found this post by AR182 to be in poor taste, particulaly since there are a number of Mexican members on this forum.
