socalyo..

sorry to hear about your father passing away.

johnny....

it was an e-mail that i received & thought it was funny & felt that some here might find it amusing.

fwiw...i find it funny that people accept other people breaking the law...this is a country of laws.when people come into this country illegally they are affecting every citizen in this country....do you think that's fair ?

my wife was born in another country & we followed all of the laws to get her citizenship. i figure that if we can follow the law others can also...

one more thing johnny...when arnold passes a bill to allow all of californians (legal & illegal) medical benefits are you prepared to pay higher taxes ?

you guys have made this joke out to be more than it is...

I too think it is unfair to categorize the entire Mexican poulation in this manner. I have spent a lot of time in Mexico and find the people there to be generally hard working and with a higher moral fiber than most Americans. Granted, illegal immigration is a serious problem but I found this post by AR182 to be in poor taste, particulaly since there are a number of Mexican members on this forum.

judge...

what kind of post is this ?

in your short stints in mexico you can tell about the moral fiber of the whole country by just the few people you came in touch with on your vacations ?...you're more preceptive than everybody else.

most people no matter what country they are from are no different than eveybody else.i agree that most want to take care of their families properly.but again everybody should follow the laws...no matter how trivial you think it is...

i guess judge you're another one who doesn't mind paying higher taxes for people breaking the law.....amazing.

Al, I have lived in Mexico and South America for a total of 14 years of my life so I believe that I am qualified to speak as to the social makeup of these people.

I do not think that illegal immigration is a trivial matter and actually stated that I think it is a serious problem. Of course I do not appreciate my tax dollars being used to care for people who are in our country illegally but that was not my point.

Your "joke" clearly categorized the Mexican people in an unfair manner. My response was not a personal attack on you as I am sure that you know that I respect you but I thought that your post was inappropriate. That is simply my opinion which I am confident that you will admit that I am entitled to.

Very nice! I got a cartoon for you guys about the US policy on border control etc...

i thought this was the funniest thing in this thread and if it wasnt for AR's simple and non threatening joke i wouldn't have seen it.....

a country's moral fiber and you're assumptions of them being harder working don't mean a damn when our taxes go up because of the border patrol situation and the amount of illegals that come into this country every year

AR - You do realize who built those house you manage, don't you?

The joke is funny - or at least it was when I heard it 5 years ago. I wish some soccer players would run accross the border so we could finally be competitive in the World Cup.

AR - please check your sources on these chain jokes and emails you get before posting. It only makes us all look like "ignorantes" when you are so outdated. If you want - run it past me first - I'll make sure your facts are at least slightly less embarrassing.

Sincerely,
Saul
