why was it acceptable last month? Last year? Last decade? Only became unacceptable after press exposed this outrage.

Why dignify this kind of ridiculous statement with a comment?

That's what truly amazes me.

Anything said by any politician seems worthy of examination. Oh, God!

Help me, Lord. Maybe it's just me.

The best part is everyone now is gagged. Its the neocon way. Our boys and girls are allegedly fighting for the people of Iraq's freedom but now over here they are gagged. These people just make you sick to your stomach. You say something against them and they will smear you to death or fire you and when you find out something you might shouldn't have all the sudden the gagging begins. Hey, they have supporters tho. What does that tell you?

Bush is critical of our treatment of our wounded soldiers???!!!

Only conclusion I reach from this is that Bush himself must hate freedom. How dare he criticize anything about the military!

Give them time. The American hating Neocons will turn this around so it's the fault of the press.

1st of all "we" aren't your boys--your boys are banning recruiters--ending ROTC--putting prison photo's front page for 43 days--ect

Now we'll have to see what GW does--firing the top brass immediately was a start--but much more to be done.

--and along same lines--when you see how incompetent the gov is at controling a small area of healthcare for VA--consider the fools thinking the entire nation would be better off with gov controled healthcare.

the exact quote from Bush was "the decisions I make put our kids in harms way" when the fuk has his kids, or anyone he knows kids been in danger? Other than drinking themselves to death of course.

the "we" was a quote from Bush, I guess you are his boys. Cheney and Bush certainly demand the respect of the military for their proud history of deserting and deferring, errr, I mean service. Now that its a media story, we will see what he does to cover his ass. The liberal press and government controlled healthcare. Way to address the issue. The raft for you Bush backing wack jobs sure is getting small as you float off to insanity island.

No Jabbers but I have long memory--I'm the boy who heard the same liberals whine about deaths of troops and civilians in VN for political agenda--but saw what they really thought of troops when they came home--and didn't mind a bit about the millions in Cambodia and VN that were slaughtered because of them.

So I have learned to seperate the political agendas from reality from experience--and you.

hey dogs, all I'm saying is veterans have been treated like shit forever. I have said it on this board for years. I know because I go see them all the time. These are all guys paralyzed and choose to live in the hospital opposed to the community, I guess they like the camaraderie. I've tried to help several get there own places, most don't want to leave their buddies. But as I said previously, the conditions suck, food sucks, care sucks, money is always tight. Guys are always thankful as Hell when you just bring in coffee & pastries.

Way I see it, disabled for life veterans, should be like franchise tag players in the NFL. You take the median salary of American worker, and disabled Vets should get that median payment plus 25 percent, at least. Instead they don't have shit. You get some company to donate tickets to a AAA baseball game at Pawtucket, so a dozen or so of the guys can go to a ball game, and you would think they hit the fuking lottery.

Its disgusting, I've just saw on the evening news, some veteran back from Iraq in Alabama, as been injured, and living and sleeping in his dam car, something is definitely wrong.:nono:

I think the people trying to ban recruiters are only trying to keep kids from being brainwashed into a rich mans war. You know what dogs im sick of you and others talking about this crap. If a kid wants to join the arm forces send him some mail and don't try to con him in person. Send him some email or have a commercial do it. We dont need a 35 year old man brainwashing a 18 year old into fighting for con men like we have now. If you have a problem with this then try to get a few of your families members to join. Im sure they will take them in.
