The point was that everyone always wants to kill the guy when he in fact has done some nice things in his life. Your hatred of this man is just ur stupidity showing. Has he done some questionable things sure. Has he even came close to the dispicable things this administration has done? No not at all not even close yet you sit there with your pecker out everytime you see Bush on TV. You are the type of clueless fool that Fox TV preys on.

Your posts show how brilliant you are. You haven't the 1st clue on have the criminal acts this POS and his family have pulled off.

I don't even watch tv dumbfvck

find something else to pigeon hole me with already

While you are so obsessed with putting everyone into neat little categories......

does a person in the trades, bitter about his choices of employment in life yet reluctant to do anything else but blame others for his plot in life fit you?

Where is your outrage on the billions of dollars that are missing from Iraq? The outing of a CIA agent, The firing from the attorney general, Selling ports to the arabs:shrug: But if its Jesse Jackson, Nba athletes, or any other high profile black you seem to be a very vocal person. Where is your outrage for white collar crime homie? I take all crooks to the task. Unlike you and your designer blinders you seem to wear.

Again

Do you actually pay attention? Do you have any focus? Do you EVER really know what the fck you are talking about or make ANY sense? Do you read what you actually post (or don't post in this case)? You always seem quite capable of calling people retarded or stupid. It's an endless phrase from someone who is definitely at the lower end of the gene pool on the internet. Except when it comes to issues or threads about peeing.

Missed all your brilliant input in this thread. Seems I was there. Where were you?

I saw today that when Len Berman failed as a sports personality in NYC, Imus referred to him as 'Lenny the Jew' over and over on his show.

Is that necessary, or even the least bit funny?

It's just not credible to think that he meant anything other than black people when he said 'you people.'

If you read the article I posted, or from elsewhere, you saw the exchange. The way it happened, it makes very little sense that he was talking about those two people.

Then he throws in there (apparently for his own amusement), after all this, some crap about 'jive.' It's in the article I posted.

F*cking idiot.

imus may be a f*cking idiot. but imo not for this.

i remember len berman, used to like him. i also remember imus calling him lenny the jew. but it didn't faze me because imus was used to that sought of stuff on his show. it would have bothered me if that was the only slur he used but he spread it around....he was an equal opportunity "insulter"..lol.

i read the article that you posted & also saw it on tv last night. but if you know imus (i believe that you can know a person if you listened to him for close to 20 years) & his history you would know that he didn't mean "you people" as a racial slur. of course there is no way of definitely knowing it but i would be willing to bet if he took a lie detector test of this it would most surely show it wasn't meant as a racial slur.

now don't get me wrong kosar, i am not defending him. like i said in my previous post i lost respect for imus when he embarrassed pres. clinton. but this is what he did for 35 years & all of sudden people are in an uproar.sharpton did alot worse in the twana brawley affair & now he is the arbiter of what should be done. i find it sickening.

I agree with Al and I have listened to Imus for quite a few years. I listen, not for his humor, but because he gives both sides of the story. Usually.
We have too many media types faking outrage. That is what gets me outraged. I just saw that phony Brian Williams, who claims Baghdad is safe, almost crying as he is talking to the Rutgers coach because he cannot begin to imagine the type of pain these young women must be going through! Give me a break. Have we lost our minds?
Where are these so called leaders of the black community when a neighborhood is in turmoil because of the 6th drive by killing in a month? Why don't they visit the neighborhood and talk to the kids.? If they are so offended by the language a guy uses then let them boycott rap and black comics. Oh but maybe then the Rutgers girls basketball team wouldn't be able to watch their favorites on tv.

Haved watch and listened the past week with the Imus incident. This has turned into a media circus.Imus was way out of line on what he and McGurt said on his show.I have a love-hate relationship with Imus. I have listened to him for almost all his years here in the NY metro area. There are times when he goes over the line on race, gender, and attacking certain individuals.I have gone from not listening to him for almost 2 yrs to months and months. Then somehow I come back.I know this sounds stupid but I'm a big time Phillies fan and when Mike Schmidt retired Imus ran his retirement speech when he breaks down crying..over and over.. he used it as a gag when they needed someone crying...two yrs I refused to listen to that ass..h..I know it was done in humor but unless your a real phillie it hurt..Lupica a NY writer once told him you have gone to far with Schmidt...Imus laughed and kept it on..
Imus always has said over the past 20-25 yrs I want to interview people here so maybe they mess up,say something stupid and we can ruin there lives"...wow
That style has come back to bite him right in his a..sss...I don't feel sorry for him..And I do think he's genuine in aplogizing. He's not a bigot but over the years he has made 1,000 of statements that are on the boderline...race,gender,etc. He has done great things with his SID's and his ranch in New Mex. He does get great political guests and I love that part. But that doesn't exonarate him from his dumb remarks about the Rutgers girls team.
I think the suspension seems fair. Two weeks pay is nothing to him but the national embarrasment hurts him more then the wallet.
I listened to Stringer and ..she is right..these are kids that are celebrating the greatest achievment in there lives..and now have to deal with all this..she takes local kids and does produce good citizens, good students, and good athletes...
The media is beyond me in covering this. And Al Sharpton...Imus was a fool going on his show.here you have a guy who is a racist...The Tawana Brawley incident was here in the Hudson Valley.Sharpton,Mason and ahh..can't remember lied about 6 police officers and the DA Pagones who raped Tawana. The grand jury threw it out.Sharpton was sued and lost.Lies and lies and everyone knew these bozos had no proof. Then you have the Crown heights incident.Sharpton had more lies and helped "flame, ignite, etc the black community calling the jews "daimond merchents",etc A young rabincal student named Yankel Rosebauum was killed...Sharton and his buddies were responsible for the race riots. He hurt race relations and here he sits talking to Imus about what he said..unreal...
The shock jocks go to far today. The Howard Sterns,Opie and Anthony....the hip hop,rap..etc.Our society has so much of this around us everyday. The MTV show "yo momma"..unreal... even the political guys Like Russ Limbough I could go on and on.There just seems to be so much hate, dissing each other, mocking each other, etc.I see it in our schools today...

Imus is paying a price..maybe to small a price or maybe not enough.Everyone has there own opinions.
The sad part about this whole thing was Rutgers did a great job in the NCAA's knocking off the Dukes and Ohio States...we all seemed to have forgotton about that...almost cinderella..
Ajavon was poetry in motion watching her disecting the dukies, the buckeyes and the rest of them.
Hopefully something good will come out of all this.
We criticize to much today...we need to compliment more...

news of the day?

imus and who's the father of anna nichol's baby. the two "hot topics of the day". nuff said. i certainly understand these ladies getting pissed about the stupid statements, but to say it ruined there season etc, etc,. a bit of a stretch don't you think? why pay attention to this idiot? i didn't go out and hire an attorney when 'white men can't jump' hit the big screen. let the weasel stew for awhile but i don't think he oughta get fired over this.

Black people make believe that Sharpton and Jesse are upstanding people... so who really cares what Imus or Joseph Biden said ? really

One was a poor joke..another a compliment...and yet both equally condemned by the black community.

Bill Oreilly said white people are being driven away because of the persistent " You must step correct to and walk on egg shells around black people "

It gets tiresome and after all is said, who gives a chit anyway ?

I am finding as I get older that the AA approach to neither endorse nor oppose controversies..Unfortunately i'd rather not engage in conversation with black people because i don't want to stand there and have to concentrate on what i may say may become twisted into some " not stepping correct thing ".

But IMUS is a jerk and should know better, but he probably takes pleasure in this attention anyway and might even be tickeled that he struck a nerve.

Not only is this very sad, I'm not even close to being one of the sharpest guys around but this is one of the most ignorant statements I have ever read.

lord...he should have just disparaged the troops.....or made some anti-american statements....reiterated the "we killed our own on 9/11"...or just bash some joos and christians, for crying out loud...

he`s obviously not very savvy...

wasn`t he paying attention to rosie?...

he`d have been embraced as a hero by the multi-culti. politically correct crowd.....

now, those that control thought and speech in this country have turned on him...

mr dunce...

but,it could always be worse...he could have heard the voice of nbc`s chris hansen saying :

"hey fella. what are you doing here"?

Again, this has nothing to do with it, IMO. I could easily offer up that his program and racial commentary is a form of thought control, too, trying to shape public opinion by soft-selling bigotry through humor.

He did it, he will pay the price or not. Advertisers are pulling back from him, which will be the bottom line for the parent company. Big radio is a business, plain and simple. If there are no fines involved, which their won't be with this one, most likely, then it's up to the bosses, not you, me, or Imus. And if he is no longer sellable to anyone except white hood manufacturers and tattoo parlors, then he won't be kept on.

i`m curious how come imus isn't in rehab yet?....how long can the contrition tour go on?.....

i think the only black person he hasn`t apologized to is "moesha"....

lets get cracking with the p.c. protocols....cause we all know that an apology is not sufficient atonement.....

.maybe he could shave his head?.......

I swear to God, I thought "ho" meant "hole" not "whore". As in, "I hope to go skiing this spring break in Jackson Ho, Wyoming." I am so uncool and old.

Next your going to tell me a "johnson" means your weiner. As in Randy "the big unit" Johnson.

randy (ran' dee), adj., 1. sexually aroused; lustful; lecherous. 2. Chiefly Scot. rude and aggressive. 3.Chiefly Scot. a rude or coarse beggar. [1690-1700; rand (obs. var. of RANT) + Y)].

Michelle Malkin article that agrees with Stevie and others.

THE CIVILITY SQUAD SKIRTS THE RAP RATS

Let's stipulate: I have no love for Don Imus, Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. A pox on all their race-baiting houses.

Let's also stipulate: The Rutgers women's basketball team didn't deserve to be disrespected as "nappy-headed ho's." No woman deserves that. I agree with the athletes that Imus' misogynist mockery was "deplorable, despicable and unconscionable." And as I noted on Fox News' "O'Reilly Factor" this week, I believe top public officials and journalists who have appeared on Imus' show should take responsibility for enabling Imus - and should disavow his longstanding invective.

But let's take a breath now and look around. Is the Sharpton & Jackson Circus truly committed to cleaning up cultural pollution that demeans women and perpetuates racial epithets? Have you seen the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart this week?

The number one rap track is by a new sensation who goes by the name of "Mims." The "song" is "This Is Why I'm Hot." It has topped the charts for the last 15 weeks. Here's a taste of the lyrics that young men and women are cranking up in their cars:

This is why I'm hot

Catch me on the block

Every other day

Another bitch another drop

16 bars, 24 pop

44 songs, nigga gimme what you got

We into big spinners

See my pimping never dragged

Find me wit' different women that you niggas never had

For those who say they know me know I'm focused on ma cream

Player you come between you'd better focus on the beam

I keep it so mean the way you see me lean

And when I say I'm hot my nigga dis is what I mean

Let's move down the Billboard list, shall we? The No. 2 rap track in the nation this week is by Bow Wow and R. Kelly (yes, the same R. Kelly who was indicted five years ago on a raft of child-porn charges and is still awaiting trial). The "song" is called "I'm a Flirt" and it's been on the charts for 12 weeks:

Ima b pimpin

I don't be slippin

When it come down to these ho's

I don't love em

We don't cuff em

Man that's just the way it goes

I pull up in the Phantom

All the ladies think handsome

Jewelry shining, I stay stuntin'

That's why these niggas can't stand em

Ima chick mag-a-net

And anything fine I'm bag-gin it

And if she got a man, I don't care

10 toes and I wanna be, cause I gotta have it

Al Sharpton, I am sure, is ready to call a press conference with the National Organization for Women to jointly protest this garbage and protest the radio stations and big pimpin' music companies behind it. Or perhaps the New Civility Squad is not convinced yet that the Billboard chart toppers I've highlighted are representative?

One dumb radio/television shock jock's insult is a drop in the ocean of barbaric filth and anti-female hatred on the radio.

Imus gets a two-week suspension. What kind of relief do we get from this deadening, coarsening, dehumanizing barrage from young, black rappers and their music-industry enablers who have helped turn America into Tourette's Nation?
