OK guys what would you do?

There is this guy at another site, i think that we all know of it. Well he is in the run for $100,000.

He has 18 picks in a row and only needs three more correct to win the money,

well his pick for today is Bal under.

And that looks like a winner.

So now he needs just 2 more, would you borrow money and go to a book and do a if then bet to insure that you walk away with cash, or do you roll one more pick then hedge , or just go for it?

$100,000 boys is a lot of money.

first, i would fly to vegas or anyother brick and mortar legit sports book rather than putting that money into costa rica.

Then I would put 25,000 against my the 2nd to last.

If that wins I would put 37,500 on the last bet. a guarantee of 37,500.

I mean he has time to put this together,

he has up till 7 days to make first of two wagers.

Do agree , fly to vegas but then the IRS gets their paws into it.

i would check your hedge. that strategy leads to 37.5k if the 21st play hits and 12.5k if it misses (since you lost 25k on the first hedge to get there).

the first hedge would pay out 25k at worst but if you win and continue you have 75k to work with not counting vigs and taxes.

cut that right down the line and win or lose you have 37.5

On the course!
I would worry about losing the Hedge, and getting stiffed by the 100k folks!

That wouldn't feel real good!

This is simple math:

You win the first hedge: +25k

You win the second hedge: +37.5k - 25k = 12.5k

You lose both hedges: 100k - 37.5k -25k = 37.5k

If your hedge wins in the first one than you have to take the 25k and can't continue to the second, because the contest is over. THERE IS NOTHING TO HEDGE AGAINST.

If it lost you have the 75k on PAPER from still being in the contest. Then you can bet 37.5k to maximize your guaranteed payout of 37.5.
