Just hit ANOTHER walk-off homer. 6 for the Yanks in the bottom of the 9th. What a meltdown by Borowski. Another example of a manager dying with his closer rather than taking him out and bringing in someone else.

I know people love to rip the guy because they're jealous about how much money he makes, which is bad for baseball, blah, blah, blah, I still he say he is the best player I've ever seen. Not Bonds, not Griffey, not Pujols. The guy is unbelievable.
Everyone is happy now, if he doesn't get it done in sept & oct the NY "FANS" will never love him ! This is april boys.
Its an impressive feat nonetheless, april or not.
and he's winning the fans over permanently imo.
well I'm a huge yankee fan and I love him.
comparitively he is worth it. look at the bums who make 10-15 million a year

I just can't help it, because I have been watching Bonds for so long (and yes yes I am a Giants fan).
But, Rodriguez has roughly the same amount of Strikeouts as Bonds, in about 4000 fewer plate apperances.
Bonds changes the game (even now) more than anyone I've seen.
And I'd say that Rodriguez and Pujols are neck and neck as the best in the game today...with nobody that close behind. I never understood the Yankees fans gripe with him.
