Just hit ANOTHER walk-off homer. 6 for the Yanks in the bottom of the 9th. What a meltdown by Borowski. Another example of a manager dying with his closer rather than taking him out and bringing in someone else.

I know people love to rip the guy because they're jealous about how much money he makes, which is bad for baseball, blah, blah, blah, I still he say he is the best player I've ever seen. Not Bonds, not Griffey, not Pujols. The guy is unbelievable.

Completely agree. It's not exactly easy to hit game winning HRs and he's done it a couple of times already. In my opinion the only reason he has struggled in the playoffs is because he puts too much pressure on himself. I think he's finally taken a "I don't give a crap" type of attitude into this season and it's paying off.

He is damn sure getting after it !!!

By homering for the third straight game, Rodriguez increased his major league-leading totals to 10 homers and 25 RBIs.

I just can't help it, because I have been watching Bonds for so long (and yes yes I am a Giants fan).

But, Rodriguez has roughly the same amount of Strikeouts as Bonds, in about 4000 fewer plate apperances.

Bonds changes the game (even now) more than anyone I've seen.

And I'd say that Rodriguez and Pujols are neck and neck as the best in the game today...with nobody that close behind. I never understood the Yankees fans gripe with him.

Bonds is ridiculously good. I wasn't trying to slight him at all. And I would agree that there is not a more feared hitter in the game. I think he has the market cornered there. But I've always looked at Bonds as a one-dimensional player. Granted, he is one of the best hitters the game has ever seen. I just don't know how good he is defensively. A-Rod isn't a great 3rd baseman by any means, but that's not his natural position. When he played short he was, in my opinion, one of the best defensive shortstops in the game. One thing I know for sure... 9 or 10 years from now, if A-Rod is still in the game, he'll be chasing Barry like Barry is chasing Hank now.
