After a food fight at school, this is the letter sent home to parents from a school admin. If the letter doesnt appear in the post, just cut and paste the URL into the web browser.

"Please review this with your child, please sign the bottom, and have the letter returned to me"
-comma splice due to the second please in the sentence.

"Failure to return this letter will keep your child off of the senior ACTIVATES list"
-I guess they mean senior activities list?

On the course!
That has to be a joke, right? I mean NO ADMINISTRATOR could possibly put that piece of shit out!

activities was spelled, "activates" twice, and out was used in place of "our" in that hunk of ass wipe, as well.

Also, there were about a dozen or more punctuation errors.

I would have had my kid correct the letter before I graded it, and signed it.

-needs a comma after "Today" in the first sentence.

-Also, in a formal letter, colons should be used after: "To parents or guardians of the Health Acadamy 8th grade"

I would send that letter to the school board.

That's unacceptable from a dean of students.

its pathetic.

I actually hope you're right. I heard it being talked about on morning radio coming into work today and went looking for it. I was hoping someone may have heard more about it and whether it's really true. If it is legit, it's sad.

Wow. That letter sent me into convulsions. I started counting the other mistakes that weren't highlighted and quit after the first 3 sentences. Awful. I would venture to guess the letter was drawn up by an Assistant and the DOS didn't even look at it because he/she was too "busy."

Are you serious? Those letters can't be real. I'm terrible at punctuation and grammer but those two letters are pathetic.

The 65th Square
unfortunately

unfortunately

minimum pay

= minimum effort

simple law of supply and demand

the teaching world will never change until they make it very difficult to get your teaching certificate and increase salaries

there is no incentive to do well

plus, mediocrity is rewarded
