Sounds like many of you don't know much about pit bull fighting. That is understandable because they never get to show much of them on TV. 90% of these fights end in certain death for one of the dogs. Its not a simple fight that is over in a couple minutes. These can go on for hours until one of the pits dies. Then the winning dog's mouth has to be forcefully pried opened to get the dead dog's neck out of his mouth. THAT is why pit fights are so horrific.:nooo:

i knew someone was gonna say this but i wasn't sure who. I just dont get the trill yyz. Go take a peek at one of those fights. Its like two chicks fighting. The same move every time. One bites the others neck. Kinda like when chicks grab each others hair. No kicks to the doggie nuts, nothing. Just the neck bite.

I guess if the fights were more exciting it would be ok?

personally...no big deal to me...there is a lot worse going on in the world...imo, Americans love to concern themselves with petty stuff that really doesn't make a difference...but turn a blind eye towards more important matters..

Man, don't go against the dog lobby in this country, you will lose.

This country be loving its dogs.

Knife fights, drugs, shootings in clubs, domestic abuse, drunk driving, maybe those things can be overlooked.

But this shit is like Al Capone and taxes.

No i would still be against it. Can't even believe people are defending this crap. Boxing has rules, doctors, purses, commissions, and judges. Not sure if dying is one of the rules. This to me is nothing about loving dogs, and everything to do about a barbaric sport. I wonder how many of these guys who watch this crap have spent time in jail for stabbing or shooting someone?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that once these dogs are found by authorities they are automatically put down because they are viewed as unsaveable. Let me rephrase that... it may be done on a state to state basis whether or not they are put down, but I think the vast majority of states euthanize these dogs once they are found out to be fighters. Nobody wants to trust them around people, especially kids, once they have been trained to tear other beings from limb to limb. So either way they're pretty much screwed from the get.

There are absolutely more important things going on in the world, I can't deny that, but this ranks right up there with kids being beat on for me. I'm a lot more sympathetic to helpless victims than I am someone who has a say in what they are doing. The only thing that differentiates Vick from your typical, run-of-the-mill convict is the fact that he has scrambling ability. This is why my buddies and I have called him "ConVICKt" for years. Ok, that was my one zinger for the day...
