It's a brazilian steakhouse. Pretty damn good food. They have got some fine quality cuts of beef. However, I always notice that I pay for it the next day. Indigestion and Heartburn from stuffing myself like a pig.

i went with about a group of 20 at work in Dallas and managed to eat all 20 or 21 types of meat they offered. I was the only one who passed on the salad bar but i was struggling for a while. I kept that card on the table green the entire meal. Definitely recommend the place to someone who's a meat eater.

The Chicago location is one of the best restaurants in the city. Now we have a number of "gaucho" style restaurants.

the only brazilian restaurant i ever ate at was in vegas somewhere ( a cabby suggested it and i dont remember the one) in 1988 (yup, the year is correct) and it was great AND ridiculous. they just kept on bringing new stuff to the table. finally i couldn't eat anymore. i do remember it as one of my best restaurant experiences of all time. definitely in the top 10.

Kneifl,
You go to the one in Addison? That place kicks ass. I also like the one Boi Na Braza on Airport Freeway in Euless. If I didn't just drown my phone again today on the lake I would have posted the picture of my plate last time I went there. Looked like I just ate the ass out of an antelope when I was done but damn fine eating.

FDC, I used to live walking distance to the one in Addison. Unfortunately, there is nothing but overweight, ugly women living in Addison.

NOT!!!

Ahhh, I love and hate the place. I get the "meat sweats" from it. I love the food but hate either trying to get to sleep or waking up with my metabolism racing and sweating my ass off.

No dude, I was being totally serious.. What I meant was there was a bar in Chicago some time ago named KaBoom spelled exactly like that. This is what I was referring to, sorry. I wouldn't dihk with ya bro unless I had reason and you sure haven't given me any reason to, so I usually won't. May play around a bit but wouldn't mess with you any. Is this an outdoor block party type thing or is it at one location and they are supplying all the alcohol. I know its hard to believe I don't know any of this crap but I always go to Chicago for the fourth, except this year that is. damnit

God yes, but only a day? I usually pay for it for about a week. :com: Did you go to the one on Pennsylvania?

Yes, ace that is the one I went too. Nice place.

Day 2

Acid stomach this morning. I passed on the salad bar too. Yes, place was great and I loved it but ate too much meat, tried every single kind they had along with 2 bottles of red wine amongst a party of 4. Also, had after dinner drinks and dessert.

I think they cook the meat in a special kind of sauce that makes it more tasty but makes you pay for it the next couple of days. This exact same thing happened last time I went and only had about half as much food.

GREAT food at Fogo de Chao, IMO. Ate there with my wife and some friends in Houston last fall and at the one in Chicago just last month. I also never turned that puck to red and it seemed as if they hovered over our table all night...:mj07:
