1. Pick 5 games or game totals a week. Combined NFL and CFB. 3 in one sport 2 in the other.
2. All five games will be rated 1 thru 5.
3. Games can be posted starting Friday at any time unless there is a Thursday night game.
4. Multiple posts are allowed. All games do not have to be posted all at one time. Games have to be in before kickoff.
5. If Bet Jamaica will sponsor odds on this contest then I will use there odds. If not than I would like to use my odds from the book of my choosing. A well known book that is.
6. Don't know what to do here. College starts a week before the NFL season. Do we pick college games this particular week and use NFL exhibition games? Or do we just wait till the NFL season starts and go from there? Also the back end of the contest it looks like the CFB ends three weeks before the NFL season. Do we end it when the CFB season is over or do we go to the end of the NFL Season?
7. No need to post bets with games. Just the strength of the units.

See what you think of these rules and I'm all ears for any changes.

For item #6, I suggest you wait until week #1 of the Pro Season and end the contest the last weekend containing a full slate of college and pro games.

I guess you will have to use screen shots of your bets to lock in lines, unless you can agree to use the closing line at a specific book every Wednesday night.

Gm, the only problem with the screen shots is im not sure i will even bet all my games. I might bet two games on a weekend or 20. I guess i could put a quarter on them just to post them.

1. Five games total sounds good but I do not understand the need to have 3 picks in on league and 2 picks in the other. Let?s just make it the 5 best plays each week.
2. Picks rated 1 to 5 units is OK.
3. Agreed.
4. Picks can be posted anytime up to five minutes before kickoff.
5. Post the line and the book with each pick.
6. Let?s go from NFL Week One to the end of the bowl games. That will ensure that both leagues? games are available each week.
7. Units only is fine.

8. How much cake you want to put up?

Why do you have to rate them 1 thru 5, why
can't they all rate the same, and
why can't you pick 5 NCAA or 5 NFL or anything
in between.

5 picks, either sport, all can be bet to a max of
5 units or less

None of my bness but KISS principle should be in
effect here.

okay 1. no problem any five we want

4. Why five minutes? I don't want deadlines unless its the kickoff or the starting times of the games. Most or a very high percentage of my plays will be in plenty early enough. I just don't want to get caught up in other contests along with my own bets and then forget this contest. How about the starting time of the game?
5. I think the book should have a reputable name. Just taking a line from any book isn't fair. I will just use one book. The book i use i bet there wouldn't be five guys on this site that would use them for lines.
6. Starting time for the contest is fine but how we gonna do the bowl deal? The last week of the NFL season ends on Sunday Dec 30. All year in the contest we play till Monday. There isn't an NFL game that Monday. Will this week end on a Monday since there are bowl games that Monday? Then there will be one more week after that? Just the bowl games? Or do we end that last NFL week on a Sunday, so we can choose from most of the bowl games for the last week? Either way is fine with me. Just think we should iron this out.

The cake? Say a price but im not as rich as you. I said what i would go up to and if its less no big deal. If its not enough well there are other things i have to think of.

In closing if anyone is reading this a fellow on AOL is having a contest Hilton style that usually has a nice prize at the end. He is legit and this was last years prize. Its 200 a head. I get nothing out of this and just giving a heads up. Not sure if im gonna get in trouble for posting this that is why i left out the guys name and info.
There are two rules i don't like but i will probably join anyway. Entrance fee is $200 and the prize money will be $200 X the amount of contestants. If we have
100 entrants ($20,000) the pay out will be something like this:
1st: $6,000
2nd: 4,000
3rd: 3,000
4th: 2,000
5th: 1,000

The remaining $4,000 will be for the second chance contest which begins on week 11.
If you wish to drop out of the main contest you can start all over in the 2nd chance
contest which goes all the way to Super Bowl Sunday.

this still isn't ironed out? :mj07:

the drama continues Six...

Imaging what it's like being square pant's bookie:com:

HISTORY IS EVER SO INTERESTING

Manure: In the 16th and 17th centuries, everything had to be
transported by ship and it was also before commercial fertilizer's invention, so
large shipments of manure were common.
It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when
wet, but once water (at sea) hit it, it not only became heavier, but
the process of fermentation began again, a by product of which is methane gas.
As the stuff was stored below decks in bundles you can see what could happen.
Methane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came
below at night with a lantern, BOOOOM!
Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined
just what was happening.
After that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the term
"Ship High In Transit", which meant for the sailors to stow it high
enough off the lower decks so that any water that came into the hold
would not touch this volatile cargo and start the production of methane.
Thus evolved the term "S.H.I.T " , (Ship High In Transport) which has
come down through the centuries and is in use to this very day.
You probably did not know the true history of this word.
Neither did I.
I had always thought it was a golf term!!

4. okay
5. fine I will use sprts interaction, bdog, greek, bookmaker or pinny. We have to have a rule about lines with high juice. BDog is famous for this. 3.5 -20. I think these should not be allowed.
6. No NewYears bowls? We could make this the last week and in this week we could just do the bowls and not the NFL playoffs. If not, no big deal.
8. 2000 is fine, pick a name. You know more people here than i do. This could be a problem tho. Who the heck will want to hold the money with a chance of it being stolen by someone? I never would have thought of this before my house got robbed, but its a reality. Also are we just gonna post in the thread or is this clown intense idiot gonna be sticking his huge Thanksgiving day size float head in it all of the time? If he is he might as well keep score. Probably should have a guy over seeing this in case of any discrepancy's. This will not be Intense job tho.

By the way ray i have a few side jobs to do and i have to do it on the sneak so the bristol boys don't find out or they will turn me in to the carpenters union. Does Columbus Market ever have any deals on trowels and a nice float? I can't spend to much on them because i will have to throw them out when i finish the job. These guys like to look in my cabinets some times. Got to be careful here. Don't want to lose my book.
