Yea, I know, a tad premature, but I don't care. First off, if I were the odds maker here I would make Pavlik the favorite, or at least a pick-em. This I doubt will happen. After his wins over B-Hop and the Winkster, Taylor started to "protect" his lead, or play Parcells prevent defense. Boring as hell. He is talking about moving up as he CAN'T make weight at 160lbs. This is a very dangerous fight for Taylor. Pavlik doesn't give a rats rear end about mystique of the champ or anything else. The guy comes from one of the most blue collar places on the planet, Youngstown, Ohio. He fights like it's survival and is a true middleweight. Taylor is developing a mouth and talking smack; out of character for him. I'm all over Pavlik here.

Totally disagree here Frank I think Pavilik style is taylor made for Taylor. I think he gets knocked out. Taylor fought three of the most cagey fighters in the world and now he finally gets someone who wants to bang. I like to see him get beat but i don't see it.

Seems like we will have lots to discuss as the days roll by. I do give Germain kudos for taking this one. Guess Steward sees weakness he feels Taylor can exploit. Ah yes, a very interesting matchup. Now if I can nail a few winners before that one, I would'nt mind.

Franks i have good news for you Pavlik will not be the favorite by any means. He will be a decent underdog. I pretty sure a about that anything under +150 would surprise me.

If its a pick em i go with Taylor. i was on Pavlik vs Miranda at crazy odds but against Taylor its a different fight.

You are right. It is a very different fight. One of my reasons to favor Pavlik has to do with Taylor's last 2 outings. Two blown up welters, and one who can't crack an egg in Spinks. Seems Taylor decided to rest on his laurels, and also Pavlik will give a guy his money's worth. Taylor is big and strong no doubt, but I do appreciate a guy that REALLY comes to fight and is as hungary as they come in Pavlik.
