Boxing futures wager; a "jumps out at" variety; Taylor-Pavlik; Sept 29, 2007
Yea, I know, a tad premature, but I don't care. First off, if I were the odds maker here I would make Pavlik the favorite, or at least a pick-em. This I doubt will happen. After his wins over B-Hop and the Winkster, Taylor started to "protect" his lead, or play Parcells prevent defense. Boring as hell. He is talking about moving up as he CAN'T make weight at 160lbs. This is a very dangerous fight for Taylor. Pavlik doesn't give a rats rear end about mystique of the champ or anything else. The guy comes from one of the most blue collar places on the planet, Youngstown, Ohio. He fights like it's survival and is a true middleweight. Taylor is developing a mouth and talking smack; out of character for him. I'm all over Pavlik here.
