Still Smoke???
Not me ........and thats about how much I've saved over the last 6 years since I quit in a very public manner at age 54 ....Right here at Madjack Sports :00hour ........Thanks to the the help and support of many good friends.
I could not have done it alone!!I kept coming here to rant for a week or so till the worst was over and in the end I was smoke free after 40 years.
Well,
I know some may feel this is tiresome each year or so ...BUT...its too important even if 1 gets it done.
Benefits for me have been too numerous to mention.
Geez......I feel great and I wish that for all you smokers!
They have you addicted and you WILL suffer from a health perspective...
You may not be ready for this but you won't drink half as much and you'll enjoy it more..At least that has been my experience.........OK..Thats it till next year. Good Luck if you are fed up and are ready to take the step..You will NEVER regret it!!!

Doochuck,
Congrats! Not easy after 25 years...
I do not miss it at all either...in fact....I really feel so damn lucky to have beaten it...especially when I see a smoker my age hacking away.
I can't believe that I smoked for so long...Oh well
Thanks all and to all those who helped me 6 years ago!!! To those getting ready to give it another try.
DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's only a short blip in your life and the smokes will be gone forever!!!!!
They are BAD.........VERY BAD!

Good work guys.

I tried to quit a few months ago, but failed.

I plan on setting my new quit date for 8/15 - the day after my birthday and I get back from Vegas at right about that time.

Crossing my fingers, I need to quit. Disgusting habit.

The only way to do it is cold turkey, and it shows that's what you really wanted to do, you have to really want to do something in order to succeed ....Excellent

Congratulations to you Watrdogg,
I remember well! and it certainly was MY PLEASURE to watch your success in beating this insidious addiction.
It is tough for a while...no doubt............BUT........
so is smoking year after year after year.
Everything gets better after its over...Stay the course!!

Jack, DTB, and Kneifl,

You are among the brightest and best here!
I would be so happy to see you guys get together and "kick the crap" out of this habit.
I know only to well that it is a personal addiction and you have to want it!..........BUT...if you do
I found the best support RIGHT HERE. Laugh at your pain a little with your friends and when you crave................come here and tell. Soon its over!!!!!!!!
Years are going by for you guys just like they did for me....Some never quit and thats OK
but emphysyma and heart disease..circulation stuff etc really suck!
Heading off now to Saratoga for a few days but will be anxious to be here for anyone who wants to Win the BIG ONE..It's truly the gift that keeps on giving!
