NFL Survivor Pool

To all,

I am going to run a Survivor Pool for the NFl. Many of you have already gotten an email from me with the rules, but Jack is allowing to open this up to others, and also he has NO involvement whatsoever. This will be the 3rd contest I have ran (NCAA Football Bowl Contest and NCAA Basketball Brackets Challenge), to which some here have placed in the $.

I set up a temporary email address again at MSN for those interested ( jr112007 ). Just send me an email there and I will send some over to you from my correct contact information.

Rules....$20/entry

1. Pick one winner each week in the NFL. No pointspread and you can only take a team once.

2. Once you lose, you are out, no additional buy-ins.

3. I will need your selection each week by the given Friday @ 4:00 PM. I will then populate an excel spreadsheet with everyone's selection and send it back to all entered in no later than Saturday afternoon-evening. This will be a running spreadsheet to show everyone who took what team.

4. During weeks that there is a Thursday game, hence week 1, I will need everyone's selection for that weeks games by Wednesday @ 4:00 PM. Therefore, the deadline for week 1 would be Wednesday, September 5 @ 4:00 PM.

5. If you fail to send over a selection for any given week before the deadline, you are out. I must be honest and fair to everyone.

6. Winner take all.

I assume we will get over 100 people just like the NCAA Bracket Challenge, therefore send me a quick email if you are interested and I will send back where to send the entry $.

What happens in the case of TIEs (not that it happens a whole lot)

I apologize for not putting this rule out there, for the years I have been in this a TIE = LOSS. However, there appear to many MJer's entering in, and I will throw it out to the group. Let's hear it. I will put the final stamp on this in an email to the group of those entering roughly about a week prior to the first deadline for week 1, or 9-5-07 4:00 PM.

Another thing I wanted to bring up, if this goes well with many entering in, the years to come I will use a website to run this contest as it will become painful to do all this work. Yahoo appears to run a free service that will allow many to enter in, almost all of the other sites want $80-100 depending on # of entries, I say f-ck that to those.
