It would be really nice to be able to put the games in on gameday. Two days before they actually start:shrug: What is the rush?

I am probably going to change the deadlines to Saturday and if that isn't enough time than I suggest one doesn't get in. This a pick'em contest that I have to populate a spreadsheet and get back to everyone to be fair amount of time. It is my error for not setting this up through Yahoo or CBS Sportsline and in years to come I will, but to many email invites went out for me to try and change this now.
I have run 2 successful contests with the NCAA Bowl Contest and NCAA Basketball Bracket Challenge, to which the likes of Taoist & Nole in Vol Land have placed in the $. I do my honest and best job to provide some fun outside of the rigors of handicapping on one's own.

i know you are honest and straight up. I thought you were running it thru another venu that is why i asked about the Friday deadline. I love this contest but i don't particulary like putting games in early but i see your point. Yeah count me in. I'll get your info some time today.

We currently have 26 people in already, I truly expect us to finish up around 75-100, which equates to 1500-2000. All money goes, I do not take anything for myself.

FWIW:
You can host a website that alows a MS Access database to "collect" the picks form each user and TIMESTAMP them so they can pick minutes before kickoff an if the pick is selected after say 1:05 est, it automatically only allows them to pick from the 4:35 est game or Monday night football... it could also remove teams each week to remove any confusion about teams already picked.... Each user would have a number and you can just export all weekly data to an excel ss by the push of a button.
I am more than happy to help you with the DB if you decide to go this route in the future. Pretty standard web stuff and saves you ALOT of time...

Woodson, absolutely. This is the my first run at this particular contest, and with invites out all over the place it is a little late in the game to do anything about this now, but we can discuss this for the future though. Please email me at the above mentioned temporary site.

Sponge, we'll get it done, and in the end I agree with you all. This also makes it much easier on me other than to collect/payout the $. No-brainer. See sites like runyourpool wanted like $80-100 depending on entries, and you saw my answer to that, fu-k them. I think we can make this thing pretty big in years to come, but IMO the Bowl Challange is the best.

For anyone that doesn't already know, jr11 runs a top TOP notch contest. The Bowl Challenge was fantastic and if it wasn't for Ohio St pissing down their leg I would have had 2nd place.

here is what the updated rules will look like and this what will be sent out to all before we start in an email.
UPDATED Rules
1. Picks sent to me in an EMAIL!! Pick one game/winner each week. No point-spread. You may only select a team ONCE. If you team wins, you advance or "survive" until the next week and will again select a different team to win. If you team loses or TIES, you are out. For those of you that lose early, I will keep you on the email list for you to follow along and your name will be highlighted signifying you are out.
2. During games with a Thursday night game, hence week 1, if you decide to make a selection on one of these teams, I will need this pick by Wednesday the night before 10:00 PM. If someone decides to make a play on this game, the spreadsheet will be filled out for any contestant showing their selection, and this will be made public to all that Thursday morning. Example....Joe Blow wants Indy week 1 and he is the only one making a selection for this game, I will enter that in for Joe and email to all Thursday morning.
3. For those of you making a pick on Sunday, I will need this pick no later than Saturday the night before at also 10:00 PM. This does not mean you have to wait until this long. IF, and BIG IF, you don't enter in a pick you are out, and I repeat out, no exceptions. There are multiple people in this thing from all over the place and even different countries, please understand my stance and respect everyone.
3.A. If somehow you can't make a selection yourself due to being away for vacation-work-etc., please let me know and either potentially someone else can make it for you or I can give you contact number for me. We'll get it done.
