Walmart
Wal*Mart DSD Service Policy
1. Know and follow store receiving hours. These will vary by store, but must be strictly adhered to. Plan your delivery schedule to match the needs of the store. Lets forget the fact that the fine ghetto employees that we don't pay show up when they please in whatever condition they feel like. If you haven't done crack or drive a vehicle that has only three tires, you wouldn't understand. You will be stomped on like a grape now that they are in the only position of power in their entire lame lives. To hell with you if it's snowing like a mother****er, raining, you have tons of other work in your day, or you are being robbed, the receiving door will be opened and closed as/when we are good and ready to accept your servicing our store, and we will sit inside and talk to other like minded idiots as you watch us from the outside of the locked door.
2. Manage your section as if it were your own store. Product must be ready for sale (full and faced) by 9 A.M. Make sure items are priced clearly and all promotional items are marked with special signs. GL finding the employee that is in charge of making shelf tags/signage and with the hopes of that request getting completed before the Cubs win a World Series. If you can't find a window to get into the store due to the fine receiving policies we have, that's your problem. (see policy number one) If it WAS my store, I would sell only lower end items because that's what 90% of the business caters to. Plus there's the fact that any outside vendor of any type of product has the impossible task of making next to nothing for their efforts and still making a living
3. Stores must be worked seven days a week. Keep in mind that Saturday and Sunday are the busiest days of the week. It is not acceptable to be out of product at any time. You should fvking stand there and fill each unit one by one as they sell off all day! You have nothing better to do than spend 100 hours a week standing at the shelf every day from dawn till dark! There's no way DumpMart will ever work any backstock no matter what the price point or snow scare for the best interests of all involved.
4. Stores must be serviced at least two times a day. Higher volume stores should be served more often. We know you are making a few cents per hour after every thing is calculated out. We want all the money we can squeeze out of your ass and like it! Think I would just live in a truck in the lot. GL getting us ever to show any interest in your product, our shelves, or our customers. They want price point and we will give them that on your back. Quality, appearance, or any standards of any kind are of no importance in our business plans. Keep the sh*t cheap and full and everyone is happy.
5. Anticipate and execute during times of extra demand, this includes weekends, holidays, ad events, etc. Dropping the ball on service during one of these times is not acceptable, and reflects very poorly on your companies service demands. Again, you will get NO support from us. You will be here constantly through every holiday as you will be every day of the rest of the year. We will scare the living sh*t out of your company from our world wide powerhouse headquarters in the middle of nowhere and you will jump like our bitch.
6. Keep your damaged, shop worn, and out of date merchandise picked up and out of the store. Again, we will help you do your job and service the store properly when we's good and ready! We expect you adhere to good service standards even though we don't in any other department of the entire store. You think they give a shit about any standards in China? That's were 99% of our store stock comes from and it's about keeping it cheap!
7. Keep your off shelf displays stocked up and ready for sale at all times. These are privilege, and need to be managed as if they are an extension of your self. Since we own your ass this fits perfectly with above made statements. We will take down and pile up your display, move your display, change your display, whenever one of our thousands of lame employees of any authority gets in the mood. Just because we agree to anything when it comes to displays, never think that we will stand by what we say. Filling and end cap Thursday could have meant Thursday 2010. Order for whatever happens and then eat the product when we stick you in the ass. We know you enjoy being in the middle between your campany bosses and our expectations. What doesn't kill you makes us more money.
8. All pricing and shelf label discrepancies must be reported to store personnel and your supervisor immediately. See #2 above. We can't actually be expected to be accountable for our pricing department. We don't pay them anything and can only hope they can read and write functionally. We love giving more of our burden to you. That's what you are here. Shut up and be happy you don't work in one of our large dumps.
9. Your side counters must be kept clean at all times. So we can move other product here at our whim. Or just clear all your's off and slam it into a cart for kicks. We don't care if damaging thousands of dollars of your product ends up costing the consumer in higher prices down the road, WE are setting the prices WE will pay for each unit in the 1st place
10. Notify store management of any rollback activity, special opportunities, and store competitiveness. Your store reps need to do more than fill the shelf, turn around and leave. Take a moment to discuss your business with store management, reviewing upcoming promotions, new item placement, and extra sales opportunities. This is when we REALLY make our money! And you make dick! This is when we really expect the world and will shit all over you at a moments notice. Our customers love it cheap cheap and cheaper and we'll get it that way AND make money without lifting a finger. You blow this opportunity to make nothing, and there's another company waiting in the wings to work for us for free.
11. On down days the stores must be serviced by 7:00 A.M., just like any other day. The shelves must be worked often enough on down days to keep your section full. (from above) You should fvking stand there and fill each unit one by one as they sell off all day! You have nothing better to do than spend 100 hours a week standing at the shelf every day from dawn till dark!
