Billions ,yes billions of dollars spent on intelligence and (WE) allowed it. Why? Every time I think about it, I ask why ? Some one in our government knew. If they didn't, they should have ! We didn't connect the dots. That explains it for me . Forget about conspiracy. How about a major **** up ? How about incompetence ? How about who the **** is looking out for you and me ? I sat down with a group of friends on Sept 11th 2002 and I said. " Some one in our government knew, the people that did this were educated in America. " Can we get a penny on the dollars worth of intelligence. Can we get honest fellow Americans to defend us with what that intelligence says ?

Did anyone watch the MSNBC airing of the original Today Show broadcast of the events last night? Pretty eerie. The thing that really got to me was how BAD Katie Courec was in dealing with that situation. It was like she was trying her best to control the commentary and she had such a lack of insight - so bland. You could really tell the difference when Brokaw came on and helped steer the broadcast into a more targeted historically important situation. Lauer was pretty good, but Courec was dreadful. How could CBS have ever thought she would be a good steward of insightful news reporting on the main stage? They never watched those tapes, I wager.
Yes, they had the same thing from 8:45 am-noon yesterday, without commercials, in 'real time' as that morning progressed. Kouric was horrible, for sure. I wanted to tap her on her head and scream 'DO YOU SEE WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? WAKE UP!'

You cant find 1 post that even comes close to me being against the patriot act. CLASSIC BULL SHIT ! My point is, not that I need to be protected. The patriot act was a reaction to 911. Where was the proactive measures pre 911 ? We had the information we needed to stop 911. The patriot act was big brother trying to make himself feel better about not doing his job. Are you happy the way our government acted prior to 911 ? I have to say that I strongly believe, if you are on American soil, everyone should have the right to an attorney. If I was accused of being a terrorist, I would want to talk to my attorney. That's my right as an American. Just because the government says it's so, doesn't make it so. This is America !
