Similar to the popular VH1 show Behind the Music, this is the first ?episode? of MadJack?s Behind the Poster. Our first edition chronicles the madjack life of our very own NYSportsFan.

Behind the Poster: NYSportsFan

One man?s journey through a tumultuous life of drug addiction, gambling aspirations and the endless chase for a piece of ass.

Insert the voice of Casey Casem:

The young nysportsfan has long been a celebrated poster on MadJack?s sports. Whether you like him or hate him, well, you probably don?t like him, his posting history leads you on a dark journey through the ups and downs of an unemployed degenerate gambler. All subsequent quotes are taken directly from nysportsfan word for word. The rest, well, most isn't true but I'm bored and on call.

Sept 5, 2002

After working at a golf course for 3-4 years, the young nysportsfan sets his sights on making it big in Sin City. Although his main goal is to be a pro capper, he can?t help but admit one his main priorities is getting a piece of ass.

?.I am wondering, are there any decent areas within 10 mins of the strip, where I can get an apt, or rent a room from somebody for under $500 a month... no obligations.but want to me near strip to meet ladies my age, put the games in, etc....I realize LV has some awful areas crime-wise and the like, maybe the outskirts are a little better? I dont know, but help here would be appreciated...Women one of my priorites when I move out there, lol here in Ny have gotten sick of the cutthroat women,lol....?

He didn?t waste time asking for favors, that?s for sure. During the length of this program, you will see that?s not an uncommon theme.

?have worked at golf course here past 3-4 yrs so have extensive experience there...was hoping maybe one of you guys had connections at a course and could get me a job?

What followed was outpouring of support and words of wisdom from some of MadJack?s finest?.fletcher, Jack, acehistr8, AR182?all urging the young nysportsfan to stick it out in school rather than turn to a life of degeneracy.

Not so fast, young man. You might want to turn 21 before you break Las Vegas. Not a problem in the eager entrepreneur?s eyes.

?I mean Im young yet, want time to go for the ladies, go out for drinks, and do business at the sportsbook....No, I wouldnt have problem Re:getting carded, am 19 yrs old, have id that says 21 anyway, but have much more wisdom then most ppl my age?

Nov 15th 2002

Unfortunately, money was hard to come by. This wasn?t enough to deter the determined nysportsfan from striking it rich at the books.

?I was wondering how hard it would be to get a bank loan for $10,000. I basically need the $ to go into my bankroll?

Although most MJers urged him not to dig a hole financially, nysportsfan again refused to listen to his elders.

April 19, 2003

Six months later, nysf fell upon some hard times. Unbeknownst to even his best friends, Mike had long suffered from an undescended testicle. Fighting off a childhood filled with name calling such as ?uni-ball? and ?one-nut?, nysportsfan had thought that awol nut was buried in his past. Unfortunately, it soon developed a tumor and needed to be removed.

?Ive been basically making my living the past few years playing cards and betting, as well as some other odd cash jobs, but nothing that gives me benefits...As I think about it, I really need health insurance, dont have kids so that's not a problem, but still, the prices for it just keep rising. Im sure theres no "trade groups" or associations for "professional gamblers" as there are for accountants, attorneys, etc where they can get good rates, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to where to find the most reasonable rate?

After successfully fighting testicular cancer, nysportsfan decided to try his luck in real estate investing.

?I wanted to invest in real estate, first by buying a lower priced house, living in it for 6mos-1yr, building equity, then renting it out to make a few hundred dollars profit a month, then buy a new house to live in, and repeat that process a few times. Just the one caveat, I gamble for a living primarily, not a whole lot of w-2 income, and Im afraid the mortgage place wont give me a loan because of it, even though I can show tax returns, just think they?ll be insecure with that and feel my income is unstable even though I treat gambling as a business.?

Unfortuantely, the ever present lack of cash money would prove to be an obstacle that could not be overcome.

7/25/03
Late one night, nysportsfan had an epiphany. Hey, I like to drink. Hey, I like sports. Hey, I like girls. Hell, maybe I can be a bartender. Of course, the thought of any type of education process was more than the young man could bare.

?I wanted to take up bartending. I know, they have schools for it, but I don't have the time to go to it, and I'm a fast learner, and I've been to a million bars and pretty much know all the drinks, just would need to study the odd ones, but you can always ask them if it's a weird one in a nice way, I doubt they'd be offended, at least anywhere I've been. I also am well-versed in talking sports, have a good personality, can discuss lines etc with guys who bet and such, and feel I could do a good job.....My question is, Is bartending school absolutely necessary??

As before, the troubled teen was not shy in asking for a lending hand.

?do any of you know bar owners in either NY, western Fla, or San Diego, as those are the 3 places Im going to be choosing from living in in the near future.?

Apparently, with his gambling dreams in shambles, NY was now considering living in western ny, fl, san diego, or any other of the 50 US states.

8/25/03

With his real estate dreams dashed (in one month no less), mike decides that maybe it?s time to try something else.

?I was considering becoming a mortgage broker, as school has worn on me, I have a decent amount of working knowledge already about real estate?

As he had done many times before, skulldog tried to convince nys to go back to school. Unfortunately, it fell on deaf ears.

?I know skulldog, you're absolutely right. But being in school just flat out sucks, a few of the classes I'm in just I feel like, what the fk am I doing here wasting my time, I can be in nice weather, making money, or home studying mlb bets, lol, instead oif learning about worthless history nfrom 200 bc?

11/21/03

After a long stint in hiding, ny emerges with the announcement that he?ll be starting his own webpage. Although he doesn?t have any money or a clue on how to do it, as with his previous endeavors he?s eager to get started.

?I was wondering if some of the guys on here that are very savvy with making web pages, web design, and if anyone has a web based business(dawgball think you do?). I am looking into starting something, not selling anything, but need advice and help about boosting traffic, and especially if someone may be interestd in designing my site for me they can contact me? I don't expect profits for 6 mo's or so I have been told, I'm not selling anyting, it is a niche service?

Unfortunately, his work life and financial affairs were not where they wanted to be. So what is a young man to do? Try to hit up his fellow madjackers for yet another favor.
This time? For a piece of ass. Ironically enough, witness the sexually-stifled nysportsfan try to get access to box?s daughter's box.

December, 2003
?Box,
I'm leaving 2 weeks from today on my texas trip, and you mentioned looking up your daughter if we went down to Denton?

12/6/03

Another new venture? Yet another light bulb goes off. Why be a bartender when you can own the whoe fuvking bar!!

?we have been discussing doing some real estate investing in a bar in a few towns there, especially ones near the harbor, not in the middle of the state so I can drive to friend's in mass. The gambling "pipe dream" is over, I woke up and realized it just is not feasible.?

1/20/04

Eh, forget owning a bar. How about hawking stuff on ebay?

?I know Im late onto the wave, but have access to a bunch of decent tickets to various things, and was wondering a couple of things about ebay?

2/22/04

When the ebay thing didn?t pan out, nysportsfan was up to his old stand-by. Hitting someone up for a favor?

?.A guy I work for at the country club, is high up at an Insurance company...I want to get an entry level job, and eventually work my way up to real estate appraiser.....should I......basically mention how I want to enter that industry?

8/3/05
Rock bottom. NYsportsfans failures have lead him to the dark side of drug addiction. Fortunately, he is determined to cheat and get a job by passing his drug test.

?Guys, how do I beat a drug test?.

So what will be next for nysportsfan. An attempt to join the gay porn industry? Factory work in Malaysia making cockrings? A move to arizone to smuggle illegals from mexico? One thing is for sure. NYSportsFan will continue to ask for advice and then ignore each and every word from veteran madjack posters. Stay tuned for part 2 coming soon.

Okay, I just got paged, had to wrap it up. Yes, that was a complete waste of time. But yes, I am on call and needed to waste some time.

Wow. I know we all write something here or there that we regret, but this is brutal. I hope he grows up. I always like to hear people that think they are smarter, or more mature than other kids there age....usually is the exact opposite, as he proved with his sophmoric logic.

Very entertaining.

yeah i know there are bud. but, i can decipher myself instead of seeing some guy named 'datswhatsup' or 'supbro' with 2 posts, make some lock or game of the year bs, or my friend AL posting that "ucla is 7-0-1 ats when they wear blue uniforms, on saturday nights, in october, vs pac 10 teams"....certain guys are very good to read, and I do read them, but whats the point of posting any info there and just getting ripped on anyway, people just wait for you to be wrong and pounce on you.

You are being very short-sighted due to your Philly bias just cause the Phillies broke your little Mets heart by winning the NLE.

NY has some shit-hole sections of town just like Philly does....or does that not register w/ you??

Philadelphia also has some very nice parts of town such as Rittenhouse Sq, Olde City, Queens Village, Manayunk, Northern Liberities & even Fishtown is on the upside. Not to mention many of the surrounding suburbs up towards Villanova on the Main Line.

You just pick out shitty N. Philly & deciede that is the value of the entire city......

of course ny some bad areas, but overall a safer city....yes, nova's got gorgeous suburbs have visited there before....obviously cant pick out one part of the city, but it isnt known for being the nicest...but again the main thing that upsets me is the peoples attitudes.....
ex one more time.....green bay fans week 2 at giant stadium, cheering for own team and not antagonizing other fans, nobody said a word to them except some playful ribbing....contrary to philly fans waving arms inciting people, giving people the finger, pointing to their jersey and thumping chest, etc, what a classy group....and the holding cell at the vet, the booing of mcnabb a franchise qb, the prevailing old-school racism there, etc, are these not fair points?
