Six Five,

I had no idea the true humanitarian you were. Complete respect and admiration for all your efforts. Keep the pictures coming as its nice to see someone making such a huge impact in the lives of those less fortunate. Humbling to say the least about what I take for granted daily.

Thank you for the reminder.

wow, thanks for all the kind words, friends! I sure didn't post to get accolades, and actually, I thought I would have bashers (I almost didn't post). Please know that I get way more out of going than I could ever give. These are such awesome people, and they are such good examples in their humility and thankfullness. If anybody wants to go sometime, it's not only for medical people. We have carpenters, plumbers, computer technicians, jacklegs, you name it, you can be put to productive work.

Club foot repair post-op check 1 year. We do lots of club feet. Can you think of a much more productive and functional surgery?

another guillotine circumcision. See how snowed the kid is? That's from Ketamine. Lucy, if you are looking, that's my experience with Ketamine; using it to sedate kids for surgical procedures.

Run of the mill trauma that came in. I can't remember the exact details on this one, but notice how dirty the foot is. We cleaned this really good, debrided the wound, and sewed it up.

Typical street kids acting silly. Everywhere you go in Haiti, you have a mob of children following you. They love to hold your hand, and they have wonderful smiles. They don't know how poor they are and that they have nothing. They're happy to be alive to and to see you. The little ones say "BLAH, BLAH!" Blanc is French for white, so they are pretty much saying, "WHITE, WHITE!"

Another picture of Elveus doing some screenprinting. He's able to make some extra money selling tee shirts of his own design and artwork.
