High winds tonight in Baltimore. Wind gust above 50 MPH at times. This will affect the Patriots lethal passing game. I'm starting to like Ravens and the Under.... maybe 27-10 NE and I'm a winner.

Did you know that even with their HORRENDOUS offense, that the Ravens defense is ranked #4 in total defense, and #3 in rush defense, and #14 in pass defense.
ravens cannot handle ne's style of offense, period. they mix it up too much and have too many targets plus ravens are horrible against the deep ball. ne can score at will tonight, it only depends if they keep the starters in the whole game. also, if it rains that makes it even worse for the ravens. 49-6 or some shit like that, imo.

So a cold and windy game. I don't see how 50pts could be put up on the board tonight really.

I'd be suprised if the game broke 40pts.
mid 30's?

perfect for both teams.

Bucs those numbers are somewhat misleading. They rank 18th in points allowed and 25th in point differential. They are dead last with a -11 turnover ratio (while NE ranks first at +16). Some people seem to think the weather will slow down NE, but what about Baltimore?? In the rain at Pittsburgh they turned the ball over four times. They have 16 turnovers in their last four games alone, all losses. I agree with Jack, this should get ugly.

The reason I don't believe those #'s are misleading is because of their offense being so bad. Honestly, IMO, if it's not rainy and bad, but running conditions, it's probably a good thing for Baltimore.

The fact that their defense is ranked that high when their OFFENSE is never on the field, and their DEFENSE is always on the field is amazing.

You somewhat proved my point by what you said with the turnovers. If they're turning the ball over at that rate, they're putting their defense in bad field positoins, etc...

Anyone can score atleast a FG when the opposing's offense gives you the ball on the 30yard line.

I believe when Washington came to NE this year, the wind was gusting at about 20-25mph as well..

I just don't see how Baltimore scores in this game. Even if the Balt defense holds the Pats to 3 TDs. I think Boller is due for a couple INTs tonight.

Agreed. I've got Baltimore scoring 10 based on my numbers, and I think that's being very generous. NE's D got carved up by a horrible QB last week because they mentally didn't show up. I don't think there's a chance in hell they'll let it happen 2 weeks in a row.

^^...and they were @ home.

Tonight they're in Baltimore where you know that Ray Ray is gonna have his boys ready.

True, but on that note I think Ray Ray is past his prime and overrated at this point. Also, the wind currently appears to be dying down to about 13mph now...

I realize this is a very general statement, but I think people are giving way too much credit to bad teams like the Bungles and Ravens this year. I was very surprised to see how many people were on Cincy last night, considering they were only catching 7 on the road against a MUCH better Steelers team. I don't know if the teams I mentioned are just living on past reputations or what, but I think you can count on one hand the number of teams that are worse than them.

Baltimore honestly needs to just make a change, starting at the top. Brian Billick has not only worn out his welcome, but the team as a whole is stale. They just need new life. It was kind of like when Tampa Bay fired Dungy. Say what you want, but I couldn't wait for it to happen. The team was stale, complacent and we needed a change. We just needed new life into the team.

Baltimore's offense isn't really as bad as it shows, their system is bad.

and CIN beat BAL twice this year :scared

i don't think i've missed 10 snaps of ravens football this year and i can tell you they absolutely suck.

i'm not looking but i bet they lead the league in turnovers, penalties and have the worst time of possession.

the play calling sucks, the special teams suck and the defense is working at about 60% of full strength.

the 13-3 ravens of last year would not have a chance vs this NE team because they cannot defend against that style of offense.

forget it. the ravens get smashed tonight.

Completely agree. As for the offense, they need to get a clue and get a QB already. Enough with the old vets who are past their prime and the backups that should never be doing anything other than holding a clipboard.

I forgot Cincy beat Balt. twice. Hell, they would be Super Bowl winners if they could just play them all year. :mj07:

Haven't bet the game but I was kind of leaning the same way Jack. Especially considering NE was so flat they almost lost outright last week. Have to think they will come to play tonight.
