"the bunker"
i finally got rid of my old "downloader ue" virus infected piece of crap computer and got a new dell... with the dreaded windows vista....

i`m not trying anything brave with vista....but,i think i`m causing a problem because i`m logging off incorrectly....

i`m just closing any open programs......hitting the red "X" in the top corner of aol and after aol shuts down i`m going to the start button to bring up "shut down" and shutting down......

am i missing something here?.....feel free to spank me for my lack of computer prowess.....i`m a good 3 bricks shy of a load in computer savvy dept.....

thanks for any help....

jackson....i originally had msn....with that f-cking norton anti-virus garbage...i had more problems with norton than this cop peterson has with wives that don`t listen......

so,i dumped msn and went with aol.......and dumping that msn contract wasn`t easy.....they fought me tooth and nail....

now, with aol i have to go through explorer to post on your site....

that sucks, but at least it`s pay as you go...i can opt out anytime....

anybody have any internet providers they`d recommend?...

Secondly, quit shutting your computer down. The power supply is the computer part that is most prone to failure. Instead of turning your computer off, simply "log off" or put into "hibernation" mode.

Jack is right, AOL is a big problem.

What does AOL have offer?
Their proprietory search engine is a mess, the system logs you off freqeuntly, and spam out the kazoo.
Any DSL service will give you better service and "always on" access.

Anybody here use Windows Defender?

IO, I don't live down in Nick Douglas's neck of the
woods in South Central LA, so I don't have to use
windows defenders (iron bars over the windows
and doors), but I do know it works half the time.

It's funny how people cant remember.

When windows XP first came out people thought it was the end of the world.

Vista has the same amount of bugs and problems as XP. Give it 3 more months and everyone will love Vista...:scared :scared
