Jack, I FORGOT that the was the day before the Music City Bowl between Kentucky-Florida State and THAT is why there are no rooms downtown:shrug: :scared The game is a sellout and that Sunday will be the battle of the bands starting at 6pm and will be a zoo downtown:00hour

You still got the best deal in Nashville and will get you away from the madhouse. Surprised that none of the other locals have chimed in yet but hopefully some of the guys will be available. DTB and 6-5, you guys could ride down and hang out for the afternoon and watch the Titans game at Ronnie's new place:shrug:

How far is it off I-65 ?
I hate big city driving--got to airport in early am the other week--was raining and foggy and got turned around and took me 2 hours to make normally 1 hour drive home.:SIB

Its fairly easy to find. If you know where the stadium is, its a breeze. Get off the Shelby Street exit. Take a left at the light. Go to 1st Ave red light and go right. Keep driving until you see Church st and its on the corner of 1st and Church. The bar is called, "Riverfront Tavern"

staying at Opryland? Pretty nice rooms, but super easy to get lost, Jack, especially if you're drunk! I was in a wedding there in the Spring, and I kept getting turned around even though I was stone cold sober. Was in those stupid wedding black shiny shoes that didn't fit, and had blisters before the night was over. :142smilie
