2 game 6.5 point teaser:
Indianapolis Colts -2.5 over Chargers
The Chargers have beaten the Colts the last 2 outings including a 23-21 win at home earlier this season?however the Colts were minus Wr?s Marvin Harrison, Anthony Gonzalez and TE Dallas Clark in that game?I believe the loss of TE Antonio Gates is a huge blow to the Chargers and will ultimately decide the outcome of this game because Gates would have been QB Philip Rivers security blanket facing a Colts defense this week that employs a cover 2 scheme?I?m banking on Phillip Rivers inability to beat a Colts Defense minus his favorite target?yes the Chargers do have L.Tomlinson but I expect Colts safety Bob Sanders to spearhead a Colts defense in keeping L.T. under control by putting an extra man (Sanders) in the box and gambling that Rivers without his favorite target won?t being able to beat them?on the flip side?the Colts not only have the home-field advantage but they also have revenge on their mind since the Chargers beat them the last two games?with Marvin Harrison back at practice Peyton Manning has all his targets healthy this time and I expect Manning to put more points on the board than the Chargers will with Phillip Rivers at the helm?the Chargers are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 vs the AFC and 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 as a dog?the Colts are 10-4 ATS last 14 vs a team with a winning record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games at home?Bottom Line ? I?m backing the team with the home-field advantage?the Better QB?and?much Better Coaching?the Colts advance to the AFC Championship game!

New York Giants +14.5 over Dallas
Just 5 weeks ago I felt the Cowboys were the team to beat in the NFC and would represent the NFC in the Super Bowl?but?that was then and this is now?the Cowboys come into this game having gone just 2-2 down the stretch after their win over the Packers and neither win over the Lions and Panthers was anything to write home about?but the Biggest reason that I feel the Cowboys can be had this week is the health of T.O?.without T.O. the Cowboys will have to come up with a SUPER effort to beat a Giants team that has momentum on it?s side and is on a roll?the Giants are running the ball super effectively because they have two backs that can move the chains?the emergence of rookie Ahmad Bradshaw has strengthened the Giants running game and has taken the pressure off of Brandon Jacobs?plus an effective running game makes Eli Manning more effective because he?s at his best throwing off of play-action?plus?it?s been somewhat overlooked but the Giants have been a better team since the loss of TE Jeremy Shockey because Shockey seemed to be a distraction to Eli when he showed his displeasure with the passing game on the field?I expect the Giants passing gameplan to be similar to last weeks when they used a shorter and safer passing game to lessen the chances of Eli making a mistake?Manning came into his own against the Patriots two weeks ago and that momentum seemed to build his confidence last week against the Bucs?Bottom Line - the Cowboys swept the Giants this season but neither game was a blowout and both games were almost even in total yardage gained and that was with a healthy T.O?.I can?t overstate how much his injury hurts their offense and the effectiveness of Tony Romo?T.O had 6?yes 6 TD?s in the two games against the G-Men this season?plus?the Giants have beaten the Cowboys in Dallas in two of the previous years 36-22 in ?06 and 26-10 in ?04 so they?ve had success in the Big D before?the Giants are playing like the Steelers of ?05/06 when their momentum carried them into the Super Bowl?Dallas is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 playoff games?0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs the NFC and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 overall?the Giants are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Road games?5-1 ATS in their last 6 as a Dog and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 overall.
New York 27 Dallas 23
Note - I wouldn't be surprised if T.O. is active for the game...but...he won't be even close to 100% and as effective as he is when healthy because a high ankle sprain hinders a persons ability to plant on his foot.
