In Vegas 4 March Madness (first time)

I have been to vegas twice before and I loved Mandalay Bay.
I will be there for the second round 3/22 to 3/25

All and any advice and tips welcome

Your favorite book and why

Nice places with no crowds or little crowds for this weekend

I plan on spending 80% of Saturday and Sunday in a sportsbook

Tip of the first game? Almost everywhere you will need to get down to the book by 5 or 6 am to even get a seat.

I was sort of under the impression that this was the "in" thing to do a couple years ago and had since died down a little... I guess I was wrong...

Which books have the best tv selection so I can see all the way from the back....lol

back in college (late 80's) and into the mid 90's it was awesome....now, forget it....stopped going to vegas 10 years ago for the tourney because it became a joke.



pick another weekend to go there......one that has a big fight or kentucky derby/cinco de mayo or any nice warm weekend in the summer....and head to rehab early sunday morning at the hard rock

I go 1st or 2nd week of MM every year, works great, my theory is more people = more fish at poker tables
what i do is- log-on to madjacks 1st & decide who to bet
go to book to place bets
go to poker room & get a seat at n/l table with view of multiple tv's

I was out there last week and some prostitute tried to get me to take her to my room at Mandalay Bay. She was pretty damn hot.....she looked like a rich chick. :SIB When I told her no she acted like it was my fault she asked me :shrug: Guess I shouldn't have been looking at her tits and legs

Was out there for the first weekend of the tourney about 3 years ago. Vowed to never go back at that time. One of the dealers told me that it's the second busiest weekend of the year, behind New Year's. $6 beers at the books, elbow to elbow, and a fight to get onto tables. Great time.

I haven't done it yet, but I still think the "untapped" gold mine is probably the week before the 64 team tourney.

I find it to be a far more exciting week of basketball, and there are more games played that week than opening weekend of the Big Dance! They litterally go all day and night.

I would guess the books are almost empty, too!
