Pleasanton, California

Former NFL head coach, and long-time broadcaster John Madden, was found dead this morning in his Pleasanton, California home. His body was discovered by his wife Virginia, in the garage of the couple's custom estate.

At this time, police are giving few details other than to say it does not look like foul play was involved. Sources close to the family have stated that Mrs. Madden reported finding a note on the kitchen table reportedly written by Madden before his death. There were supposedly aspects in the note telling that Madden "couldn't see going on without Brett", and "a life without Favre, is a life not worth living".

His long-time partner in broadcasting, Al Michaels, had this to say about the news: "I'm certainly at a loss for words at this terrible moment in time. I was never under the impression that John was overwhelmed by Brett so much."

Further details to follow.

I didn't think it was funny either.
We have a "man walks into a bar" thread.

I'm not the one making up stories of famous people dying so people will click on my thread. I don't need therapy, not yet.

Okay, man. By the way.......I'm glad you don't want therapy. I wasn't really going to pay for it. I guess it was just another attempt at a bad joke on my part.

Brutal, dumbest post ever:em38: :em38:

Could not agree more

My first thought was who is going to be Al Michaels partner this year. Damn, I miss football

Madden is probably my favorite announcer it will be a sad day indeed when he dies.

As much as yyz doesn't want to admit it- he has a man crush on Favre:scared . 2 years ago he wanted his head on a platter and said he was washed up:cursin: . Now with the Pack one game from the Superbowl this past year and Favre actually retiring I am not quite sure which head he wants on a platter:jerkit: . yyz will be more crabbier and bitchier this year until maybe he goes to packer pratice and sees Rodgers with his shirt off:s8: .

By the way some people need to lighten up:grouphug: . I would rather read this thread than get rick rolled for the 20th time:142smilie . I rick rolled just about everybody I know. Another thing as a Bear fan-good riddenance Brett Favre....
