45 Minutes with American Airlines, trying to figure out if my flight to Austin, TX tomorrow is canceled, what is everyone's guess on how much longer I will be on hold???

can't you just check on-line at their website under flight info.
also, if you do get through to someone, I bet they just say they don't know yet and to call back later.

I can't believe how they are allowed to get away with this crap twice. Last time was actually over 300 flights. Media is handling them with kid gloves. American just takes all the reservations and decides on their own to ground all the flights and won't tell anyone ahead of time or try and do it in a more organized manner. Won't give answers to any questions. Basically, the last time they did this it was all for nothing. They could do the exact same thing in a few more weeks and not even bat an eye. I hope some doctor type steps up and sues the living shit out of them because he missed some important situation.

So you wasted 53 minutes of your time and still don't know if your flight will take off. Can't believe the crap they get away with.
Flew out in Feb and they were looking for 36 people to take a bump because they sent a smaller plane? That's what they said anyway.
FUK THIS PIECE OF SHIT AIRLINE! I just got a call from the automatic update I set up (had to do it 5 times) telling me my flight is canceled, great, fuking awesome.
If this isn't a class action lawsuit, I don't know what is, fuking unbelievable... I hope they go bankrupt...

Railroad is pretty bad. Gov. bails them out all the time. I spent more time in taxis and hotels than the actual rails. :scared

I just got bumped of SkyBus because they went out of business!! 3 in a week. I don't have a Budget Airline in Greensboro anymore!!The Airline industry is the next to go...Sad!!No more cheap flights.

I think VLJs are going to need to step up and handle regional flights. At least i hope that is what happens.

I'm booked on AA for a flight in mid-May and the news yesterday was that this thing could last until then....:scared
i hate the airlines....they get away with stuff that other businesses dare not to do because it would put them out of business.....
I remember about 30 years ago when the airlines industry was deregulated. I'll bet everyone at this forum (if it had been around) would have been cheering talking about lower prices, better service, how private industry could do it better than the government, yada, yada, yada,etc.
Well, right about now, I see a whole lotta bitchin goin round. Now, of course, you could say, that if the government were still regulating the airlines it would be worse. I don't know. You can also argue the 9-11 stuff. I live in Cincinnati and we pay the highest bucks in the country to get from here to there.
Just sayin. It seems like corporate america ain't done such a bang up job for the consumer.

Yeah.....sucks for us, bro. My mom is using Allegiant Air this weekend....but they only fly to 2 destinations out of Greensboro....both in Florida.
Just bought tickets to Indy on Frontier a couple days ago to take the newborn home to see family, get a fu**ing email today saying they went bankrupt!
