I'm always one of those people on late news TV in line to drop mine off at the Post Office at the last minute....I always have to pay, so I wait until the last minute.....

Already finished--if you want your tax liabilty and know your net income this link will give quick estimate of taxes owed---just plug in your net income--2007

http://www.moneychimp.com/features/tax_brackets.htm

---and while your doing it--also plug your net in for 2000 and it will show you how much a vote for Obama/Hiliary will cost you as they said they will roll taxes back to prior to Bush tax cut. I did it for you at various incomes in case anyone interested--
and pays taxes ;)
--in addition-- capital gains will increase from 15% to 28% and Divdends from 15% to 39%

Oh quit your bitching! You mean you guys aren't happy to be shipping off half of your hard earned money to fund the Iraq war and kill our own young soldiers?

I mean after all, they had WMD, errrr they attacked us.....errr we're after Bin Laden:mj07: :mj07:

Someone please explain to me why we don't just have a flat tax? :mj16: :mj16: :mj16:

Me, too. 1st year in 10 that I didn't have to pay more at the end of the year, due to the kid being born in 2007.
I also am backing off on my quarterly payments in '08 so that I DO have to pay in April '09. Why loan the gov't money for free when it could earn ME the small amount of interest? You do have to be careful about that because if you don't pay enough, they will fine you...:nono:
I was just asking Wease what taxes he was refering to when he posted about paying semi-annually--I've never heard of any taxes other than property taxes that are collected twice a year--and thats only if you don't escrow the money thru your mortgage payment...
Stopped at the P.O. and dropped off my check for Uncle Sam on my way home this afternoon...

I believe that would take away too much power from our all mighty righteous Congress people. We all know we cant have that.

I'm for the fair tax but I'd take the flat tax. Anything to get away from this current tax system.
