WARNING: This is one of the worst movies of the last 5 years. It is absolutely awful!!!!

Lucas and Spielberg should be ashamed. I do not understand why people are willing to sacrifice a franchise to make just one more movie.

I'm serious, this movie is terrible!

The guy I watched it with and I were debating on the way home last night. It's right up there with Caddyshack 2, Rocky V, and Police Academy 3 thru 21.

Wow, that's disappointing to hear dawg! I used to see movies all the time in the '90s, sometimes 2 a week. Hollywood has been so disappointing last decade, seems nobody has any creativity or imagination any more. It's been many years since I have seen a great movie. Everything is remakes or copies, nothing new or imaginative. Even with television if something is successful, 5 copies can be expected, ie (csi, csi New York, csi Miami). I think HBO is the only channel with creative new programming. How long has it been since anyone has seen a GREAT MOVIE. something like goodFallas, braveheart, something where you left the movie Theatre feeling really moved, not like you just wasted 2 hours.

I've heard Iron Man is a great movie.

I thought Batman Begins was really good.

The Incredibles :)

Now for some less nerdy selections, you may need to default to someone else...

Just got home from the movie, absolutley brutal.

They got away from everything that made the first three great in my opinion.

Huge letdown.

I guess I'm easily entertained.

Sorry you didn't care for it. It's still gonna make about 80-90 million this weekend. Went to see "Ironman" again last night and the parking lot was so packed. Indy was playing in 4 or 5 theatres.

Bring on "Batman" and "The Love Guru". :mj07:

I just thought in the first three the plot revolved supernatural things with real historical significance (to some at least). To me this movie became more Sci-Fi and less action.

Guess it just wasn't what I expected.

Saw it this morning before reading this thread.

I WISH I READ THIS THREAD!!!!! This movie let me down and alot of 38 year old looking nerds/ex nerds just like me! What a piece of chit all the way around. National Treasure violence bs crossed with X files crossed with some punk kid horrid acting crossed with bring some old faces in and for God's sake, take Sean Connery's picture out of the movie so he doesnt have to say he was in it!!!!!!!!!! Damn, Im angry again, just thinking about this. And the worst part was no hand job/blow job from my wife because the theater was packed!

I actually like Shia LeBeouf. I thought he was the only thing that wasn't absolutely terrible in the movie. Not that he was great. Just not as bad as everything else.

I thought about it yesterday, and I truly think it would fit better in "The Mummy" series better. Replace Ford with Brendan Frasier, and I guarantee you would not have known this was supposed to be Indiana Jones. Without the music, of course.

This sounds about as good as a Star Wars spin off staring Jar Jar Binks...

Rumors began in July 2007 that Shia LaBeouf signed a contract to reprise his role of Mutt Williams, in a series of Indiana Jones sequels. MTV quickly got a denial from LucasFilm, although it turns out that IESB.net?s source probably wasn?t far off after all. It has now been revealed that George Lucas has an idea to make more Indy films with Mutt as the lead character.

?I haven?t even told Steven or Harrison this,? Lucas told Fox News. ?But I have an idea to make Shia [LeBeouf] the lead character next time and have Harrison [Ford] come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out.?

And I?m betting that like most Hollywood contracts, LaBeouf probably has stipulations which lock him into a sequel/spin-off if Paramount wanted to make one, despite what LucasFilm claimed last year. And LaBeouf says he would be interested.

?I don?t think a Mutt spinoff would be as big as Indiana Jones,? LaBeouf told MTV. ?[But] fingers crossed!?

Harrison Ford told USA Today in April that ?he also might consider a fifth installment of Indiana Jones, though he hopes it wouldn?t take 20 years to pull together.?

I have stated several times that the only thing that separated this and part I was the Jar Jar Binks character. It was so close to going over that edge, though.

As stated before, I think LeBeouf is a good actor. But I think continuing this story line will be a terrible mistake, and LeBeouf would probably be the fall guy.

Sucks.

Agreed, I liked Disturbia a lot and some of the other things he has been in. Doesn't matter who the actor is if the storyline is very weak though.

I just watched 88 minutes and talk about bad acting.....I'm surprised Pacino surrounded himself with a bunch of stiffs, unless that was the point for him to stand out
