Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Very late start today, even tho got bed decent hour after dinner with Jim, AR182 (and wives) and Jack at Rio's famous buffet last night (if you pick and choose carefully, it can be real good)

Jack and Ctownguy played in the noon "Mega Stack" $300 buy-in at Caesars today (starting chips $10,000).

by the time I arrived few hours after it started, Jack had left already--got beat again after the flop by some dude who picked up a card and got lucky.

Ctwonguy got moved this table bit after I arrived. He more than doubled his short stack to over $20,000K on a nice hand (had pocket 9s and other fellow had Ace, jack--and called the $6K all-in for some reason). But not much after I left, another fellow got lucky and once again Jim had best hand before flop, but lost it and busted out.

I had left for Rio casino by then, Jack was talking of entering tourney there. But he was at the video poker games taking it easy and winning! I sat next to him and machine on other side of me was busting folks right and left for over hour Jack said. So after he go another nice one on his machine, he decided that rotten machine next to me was due. His third or so hand on it won a nice one! Then fullhouse, went for double-up option and won that!

Jack spoke to Ctownguy on phone about 8pm tourney at Venetian tonight, decided to try that with Ctown, as mentioned in other thread (after a little blackjack and refresh in room)

Here's a picture of Jack on phone as he waits for Jim by elevators to Impanema tower rooms at the Rio.

Well, after the above exciting pic (had to take one of the boss today!), here's one of a custom Orange County Choppers motorcycle on display at BBQ place at Rio Casino.

It has 124 inch H + C motor, Baker 6-speed, can go 100 mph, and cook 20 racks of ribs.

Here's a pic of Ian, from a few days ago, infront of the double chocolate fountain at the Jean Philippe Patisserie at Bellagio Casino. And a few of the fancy pastries. Ian is a trained and working chef, and my brother is a pastry chef--so I'm familiar with this stuff (or, rather, my belly is)

I have to pick a buddy up at the airport 9pm. Not sure what plans will be then--don't know if I can catch Jack and Jim at the Venetian Tourney. We'll see.

136 players, paid down to eighteen with 16-18 getting $207. 1st place was about $6400.

I went out in 10th place and won $409.

Jack went out around 25th or so.

excellent Jim :00hour

To finish in the money....but, yes, woulda been nice to stay in longer, that's for sure!

How late in the wee hours of the morning did you play to 10th place?

I caught up with Jack in his room just before he left town. He sez it was 20th place he played to-- but at least not knocked out by bad beat this time.

I walked out of the Venetian at 2:45am and I also didn't take a bad beat this time, just lost to a better hand.

i checked the caesars poker room tuesday at 5pm to see how jack & jim were doing but couldn't find them.....however i did spot something interesting in the poker room...there was a guy playing poker without any arms..he was holding his cards & putting in his chips in with his feet....thought that was pretty impressive....

I've seen him on tv before, and it is pretty amazing how people adapt.
