Been going to vegas frequently since 1971..
Not much between Caesers and the Hacienda (now Mandalay Bay) but tumbleweeds at that point.
With the corporate suits in charge, it does not have much going for it anymore....the mob ran it right.
Now it is just take your money, overcharge for meals, rooms , and shows, tighten the machines, raise the table minimums and fleece the "eyes wide open with awe" newbies.
The prevailing attitude is..."Build it, and they will come" the chumps and wannabees that is.
I now have very comparable Gambling 12 miles from home.
Plus I can sit naked at my computer, scratch my nuts and bet sports as I watch on widescreen..
Old Vegas, we knew you well....New Vegas...where you gonna get water in 15 years?
Sad but true. We no longer go to Vegas anymore. We had been going since the 70's.
We have gambling two hours from home now but that is not the point. Vegas has to give me a reason to go there and tight slots, high table mims and over priced food ain't doing it.
The suits ruined it like they ruined everything else in the country.
