Why don't you just once tell it like it is. No leadership from the DEMS and none from the Republicans! Bush and McCain wanted this bill passed. So did Pelosi and Obama. They all failed!

Skulnik - with all due respect - IF this bailout passed you would have been first in line to criticize the slim dem majority for being socialist and bailing out the banks.

No matter what the outcome of this bill, you would have started a dem-hating thread. ...Right? TIA. JMHO.

Lmao at the GOP supporters who ignore the fact that the President and the Maverick Nominee also were for the bill.

There is enough failure to go around for all to share.

Well the democrats had 94 no's.. so why blame the republicans, when your own party doesnt agree with it.

The financial market has gone down the shitter ever since the democrats have become the majority

My party? Just another example of the GOP making everything so cut and dry, good vs evil.

Come down Derrick, you're spinning so fast it's blurred your vision.

Why is this bailout considered the right thing to do anyway? I can certainly see the argument against it. Not sure what is the right move here and don't trust anyone who thinks it's such a cut and dry - right/wrong issue.

How can people continue to have their blinders on about this.

Bush came into office with a budget surplus, and thats what the 2000 election was about how to spend it, and squandered it all and now the economy is in a horrible position and we are heading for a budget deficit of 10 trillion dollars.

I believe that both parties suck and are broken but to lay all the problems at the feet of the dems is delusional.

This bailout is just a blank check to the people who are screwing up and it just allows the problem to be delayed.

Every "fix" Bush has about the economy (rebates) is a band aid over a bullet wound. It does nothing but delay the problem.

I guess that is Bush's gameplan screw everything up and just pass it on to the next guy and spend the rest of his time clearing shrubs on his ranch thinking he did a great job.

Thing that pisses me off about Bush in all this is that he suddenly comes out and says we are facing financial disaster and it's been brewing for 15 years. ....Fine, then why has he spent 7' years bragging of how strong the economy is, record home ownership levels, and telling everyone to keep buying even if it's beyonfd their means? Why did he wait til he was a lame duck to start shootin straight with us?
