Have you been making enough to cover broker fees and short term taxes?

Yeah... I only pay $10 for trades. After making good money on wachovia I am up for the year, but not much at all, so I'm not worried about taxes at the moment.

Good money for me isn't much at all... but I just have fun dabbling around in it.

I ended up selling AIG at 3.99 today. I will probably put most of my account in a CD, and leave a little out to play around with.

Once again, I'm a poor college student that has been saving money through the years, and I really don't want to lose it since I've gotta pay for law school in January.

DTB bought 1000 shares for $1.75 and sold 400 the next day and has 600 free shares, unless he sold those

Still holding them Jack--and don't plan to sell in near future whether they go up or down. Will hold long term unless something odd happens.

--and actually bought and sold AIG on same day

AIG Big drop in pre market today--might not fit into "investment" catagory but have made wagers with a lot less risk reward prospect.

On the prmise of Ins Co taking care of their own made wager before the bell at anything under $2 and got 1000 shares @ $1.75

Your order to buy 1000 of AIG has been executed at $1.7500. Reference Number XXXXXXXXX
