Today was a nice rally, but my guess is that it hovers between 8 and 9,000 for many months ahead. I would also venture to guess it will be down quite a bit tomorrow since it was up over 900 today. Have to think a lot of people will sell just based on finally having an up day. This market has been pretty nuts though, so I probably have a better shot at winning an NFL bet than I do predicting which way the Dow will go.
tom is counter trend tuesday. on tuesdays the market will go opposite of its over all way for the week. I think the dow will go down ablut 300 to 400 points. Than make a rebound the rest of the week. I agree it remains between 7800 and 9500 for the rest of the year.

I disagree... I doubt we see a selloff tomorrow... It will hover around even if not a little ahead. The bailout is finally seeing some funding.
I will venture to say the Dow will end up around 300-500 points tomorrow:shrug:
I think 500 is a bit optimistic.
It will open up sharply to the tune of about 250-300.
My best guess is that it will close around +150.
I guess i was right about counter trend tuesday. It was down at least 275 and settled around down 87. the rest of the week it will be up. i think overall it gains about 600 the rest of the week:0corn :00hour :toast:

These swings are insane. It's like the market is on meth or something. There will be no sustained upward moves for a long time. Probably a lot of opportunity to channel stocks for traders though.

buy into GSPC & sell on the swings if you have to hold it's going nowhere but up long term or it's :sadwave: for all :shrug:

Yeah he's probably up, but up so much less than it looked Monday. We all know how the gambler's mind works - it feels like you are losing at this point.
20 of last 23 days Dow moved 100+. Today was actually single worst day. Hard to believe after the last 2 weeks. Bad retail sales. It will be a bad holiday season.
...But the glass is still half full.
