10 years ago, almost any discussion of the best teams in college football always included the Big 3 teams in Florida - Florida, Florida State, and Miami.
Seeing the scores go by today, with Miami losing to Duke just made me wonder... what the hell happened to Florida State and Miami???
These 2 teams are basically afterthoughts in college football these days..... is it the lack of a real conference that is killing these 2 teams?
We always use to hear, 10 years ago, that all the best football players, and the most speed, was located in Florida - and that these 3 programs kept all the best players in state.... does that not happen anymore?
Do people not want to play for Miami anymore, due to them being known as THUG U? What is Florida State's excuse?
I'd love to hear some insight on this - it's shocking how these mighty programs, in a geographical recruiting goldmine, have fallen......
