No such thing as a "lucky punch".......hate that expression.....if you punch someone and they go down....that ain't lucky...that's what you wanted to happen. And your damn right if Cote wins it will be from a punch. There is a reason why he's a massive underdog.

Cote has a iron chin and big time power, always worth a shot betting a huge underdog with those two skills. Add to that he has nothing to lose and trains with GSP..Cote is the play here.

:iagree:

I'm not around as much as before but i,m telling you i will put 300 to 500$ on Cote at +600 and more (hopefully +700 before the fight) as he has a real shot to win that one. Granted Silva is the best fighter pound for pound in the world but Cote has indeed an iron chin and the only way for Silva to win this easily is by putting him on the ground and go for a submission. NO WAY Cote is getting KO!!!:nono: Silva said he will fight stand up vs Cote and Patrick is looking forward to see if he will really back up his words. If he ever does that mistake then Cote can KO him.... The easiest way for Silva is the submission but i think he might try the stand up fight wich is what Kickserv and I are hoping...:toast: Yes Anderson should win this but who knows.... i remember a certain LOCK on GSP over serra and we know what happened....

Kick i said im with ya in this fight and we are gonna go down together. I just can't wager any more then 25 dollars. All the risk i will take.:mj07: Two things can happen. One Silva wants to show how bad he is and stands with Cote or two Silva uses his brain and brings this down to the ground and submits Cote in eight seconds. Most of these hammerheads in this sport never have a game plan because they are that clown tough guy who sits on a bar stool just waiting to hit someone so we have a shot. A very slim shot but a shot non the less. I can't see how working with GSP will all the sudden make him better on the ground. He needed to be working with GSP for ten years. Not ten minutes. GSP is all about speed and athleticism. Not even sure Cote has the speed let alone the athleticism.:scared

I'd take Anderson Silva's striking over Cote, as would about anyone with MMA knowledge. So I don't know where the "I hope he keeps his words" and "he needs to take Cote down to win" comments are coming from.

Cote isn't a technical striker. He's apparently got an iron chin and has power.

Cote's best chance to win is Anderson Silva getting hurt while throwing a bomb.

Some nice quotes from Cote:

"I think that everybody that fought him in the past was already the loser before the fight because they were too intimidated by Anderson Silva, by his reputation, and all the skills," Cote stated. "The difference with me is I don't care. My mind is my number one skill. I'll go in there; I'll go throw with him."

and another:

"To be the underdog, I don't have a lot of pressure, but I put a lot of pressure on myself," Cote stated. "All the pressure is on Anderson Silva because everybody sees him as invincible, but he has been beaten before and that can happen again."

and now the quote of all quotes:

(speaking of the odds on him)

"It's just better for my friends, and everybody who believes in me will put money on me and they will be a lot richer after the fight."

Now that's what I'm talking about.....he ain't intimidated.....and he's telling madjackers to bet on him.....sweet:)

Josh Koscheck: Absolutely, Thiago can weigh 190 and I?ll still fight him. I don?t care about that. It isn?t about him making or losing weight. He can weigh whatever he wants and I?ll still fight him.

i`m re-thinking my opinion....this guy doesn`t sound prepared to me....

i may just take the odds with alves.....koscheck is better, but,i`m convinced this alves is on something and had a full camp to prepare.....

i don`t like koscheck`s attitude one bit...i think he`s underestimating alves...

Agree with GW about Kos and his attitude, typical Kos. I couldn't blame anybody for taking Alves as an underdog. Now I got Kos at $2.15 (+115) and I am very happy with those odds. Now the odds have pretty much flipped, I am not sure I'd take Kos at $1.61 (-165)

One thing is for sure though.....If Alves misses weight I hope the UFC steps in and sends the dude home:nono:

Also......can't wait for the Gray Maynard/Rich Clementi fight, that should be a good one:Yep:

If Alves does miss weight, i think Dana will make him move up to 185. Alves will have run out of excuses.... i mean he's already been busted for the diuretic, and the sore ankle? c'mon.... u can fight on that sprained ankle, but u cant sit in a sauna? puh-lease.

Im laying off this fight, but there's no way to deny how good Koscheck looked against Lytle....... or how good Maynard looked against Edgar.

Are you kidding me......I gotta add two plays....the Clementi odds are insane:scared

Parlays 48-66

+35.65 Joe Rogans

Patrick Cote beat Anderson Silva $6.25 *1 Joe Rogan

Josh Koscheck beat Thiago Alves $2.15 *3 Joe Rogans

Tyson Griffin beat Sean Sherk $2.75 *1.5 Joe Rogans

As for McFedries, he needs to step up and get a big win, Leites is damn good, maybe Fed can pull off the big upset, worth shot at the odds.
