One of the games that is really flying under the radar this week is Ole Miss @ Arkansas, as this will be Nutts first visit back to his old haunt. Not being close to what transpired at Arkansas, but just going on what I have read, wasn't Nutt done pretty dirty by the Hogs Administration? I really have not looked at the game that closely, but you would think that Nutt would have the Rebssky high for this match-up. Any of you SEC guys have an opinion on this game?

............................................................

what I remember is Arkansas cracked Nutts nuts.

And to make matters worse, they hired Petrino

not sure if that will create a winning play though

In my opinion, Nutt was treated unfairly by the Arky administration. There were rumors about having an affair with a local tv broadcaster... lots of text messages. They say it was 1,053 from November to January.

There is also the issue with recruits from Springdale, Arkansas and their parents going to then Arky AD Frank Broyles complaining about playing time. These parents were dubbed the Springdale Mafia. He also hired their HS coach Gus Malzahn as OC. He quit after one year and went to Tulsa. The QB Mitch Mustain withdrew from school and transferred to USC.

The fanbase was split down the middle.

He's an Arky native and graduate. I don't think wanted to leave but saw the writing on the wall.

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd when people in their 40s and 50s are sending text messages all the time? Hell, at all for that matter? It just seems like such a 'young person' thing to do. And yes, I realize that makes me sound like the old guy who bitches about the young punks who won't get off his lawn, but it still seems weird to me.

Can anyone picture Houston Nutt getting a flirty text message, giggling like a schoolgirl and then texting back with "OMG! U r soooo gunna get us in trbl! LOL!!!"

Come to think of it, I would pay to see that.

In all honesty, I really didnt get to spend as much time capping the games for this weekend due to an accident. My four year old daughter was playing in the backyard and went down a sliding board holding a stick that she had picked up in the yard, and as she slid down the slide she lost her balance and somehow the stick ended up going into her mouth. When the stick went into her mouth it poked a hole in the inner portion of her throat and the local hospital had to take her by helicopter up to Akron Childrens Hospital where they performed surgery. After three hours of surgery they were able to repair the wound and told us that if it would of hit her throat a fraction of an inch to the left of where it hit she would of bled to death. I must state that the hospital was fantastic in their work and she is fine now and was released from the hospital today. S, as you can see, my time was rather limited this week.
