down in Ohio, every year I vote to allow casinos and every year it gets trounced on the ballot. I don't understand why we keep voting casinos down and watching our residents drive over to West Virginia, Windsor, or Indiana to play at their casinos.

It's true, the churches spear headed the no vote, but these same churches dont seem to consider their bingo games and monte carlo nights as gambling. Ohio has so many downtrodden areas such as parts of Cinci, Cleveland, Canton, and the Youngstown area that they could at least bring some $$$ to those areas by putting a casino there.

yes in the town I grew up in of about 1000 people we had probably 15-20 churches, no joke...

Feel the same way. Millions of dollars go across state lines every month and the stupid morally correct just don't get it. This issue along with results of issue 5 cost Ohio 10,000+ jobs.
