Don't get me wrong I like the low gas prices, especially after paying over 4.10 here in Atl. metro for a while, but the price of a barrel of oil going down is a result of the economic morass the whole world is facing. I'd rather see oil going down for other reasons like an alternative energy solution to oil. Unfortunately I think we are headed for a fairly severe recession. I think $45.00barrel oil is a good possibility.

P.S. Sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread. Just pissed.

does or has anybody here actually changed your plans because gas was high? When it was really high, guys around here claimed to not go on vacation, didn't go hunting, etc. because gas was too high and it cost too much to travel.

Whatever the cost, we're going to pay it. If my car is empty, I'm going to get gasoline. I'd like the prices to stay as they are, but if they go up, what can I really do about it? It's a product I have to have, and I can't make it myself.

I like to be proactive and fight for good causes, but here, I know I have absolutely no control, and there's nothing I can do if OPEC or the government or the weatherman or whoever raises prices. I don't let it change my lifestyle (extravagant as it is :mj07: )
