Yesterday was State's second-worst defeat in the history of the 106-year Egg Bowl. The loss completed a totally different turnaround at State, which finished the year 4-8. Just last season, State ended 8-5 and Sylvester Croom earned Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year honors.
tough school to win at due to the location, as well as the SEC. I doubt any bigname will want to take the job, so they need to bring in someone from a midmajor or a high level OC or DC. What about Fulmer?
agree! Tough place to win. Fulmer doesn't want it, and I'd be shocked if they don't hire an African American.
Turner Gill could be a decent hire at Miss State, as he is a good recruiter and runs a wide open offense.
I would love that hire if I was a fan of the program, but I just don't see it happening. Good luck on getting him; it would be exciting!
