We are staying 20 min outside of Montego bay. However, we have a car and driver/cook for the house we are staying in. How prevalent is the use of credit cards down there? I'm wondering how much cash I should bring for an 8 day stay. Also, where are the best spas to go to is a question my wife keeps asking me. How are the restaurants down there? Any we should not miss?
Any other advice would be appreciated as well!!

Sorry, Jon. I stayed at a completely all-inclusive joint and only left the property to visit a sister property and to go junk shopping in Montego Bay. Sandals will probably offer spa service to visitors (Red Lane Spas), but call in advance and set up an appointment.
Check some travel sites for restaurant recommendations....I only ate at the Sandals joints.

I always wondered if you can score the good ganja on the corner there or maybe through a taxi driver. That might work.
We will never be able to go to the Islands until I can take my wife to Germany to see some family .
I love the ocean , wife loves mountains. Its a problem planning vacations.
you will be approached by ganja salesmen before you can get out of the airport. when I got onto the shuttle to our resort they handed me a red stripe. Stayed at all inclusive and tipped the bartender on the beach fifty bucks the first day. no problem getting unending stream of chivas the rest of the stay. Ventured out a few times to those waterfalls and the "third world" markets. I agree you are better off on the beach reading a book, watching the mojo parade by. have fun dudes :weed: :weed:
