man, those were the days. i was such a youngster when leanord whipped his ass. that was a happy night.
my first ever bet with a bookie was sugar ray leanord vs thomas hearns. one of the best fights i ever saw. ray won my 30 to win 25 bet :00hour
The fight that set the corruption of boxing it is today. To beat the champ you have to beat the champ. Steelers/Ravens, Hagler/Leonard, Black/White......let's just agree to disagree. Thank god I am not coming to your house for Xmas.

25 years ago you could name every contender and champ in each division. Now I couldn't name one. :shrug:
Those surely where the days. Now boxing is a mess. Too many weight classes/belts, guys fight like once a year therefore IMO limited exposure, and NO American Heavyweight champ to grab onto. I watched every fight through the 80's and early 90's. Huge fan of boxing in that time frame.
