Cops or Potheads: Which is a greater detriment to society?

I want your opinion. Just saw show on MSNBC (?). It made me laugh, all about fatties out in the bush slewing fibrous ogres with great truculence and forbearance. Flying our taxcopters over people's houses and spying on them and their greenage. Now I have no use for potheads, they're loathesome and seem to deserve a good butt kicking followed by lenghty hosing and barbering. But cops are even worse and we have no choice when it comes to buying their wares. Potheads are at least civilized enough to offer their goods for rather than force them on you. So I say potheads suck but cops are even worse. Do you agree? I wonder if the liberal attitude most of us share when it comes to non-government-backed gambling carries over to other habits.

Makes me think of the outrage over Michael Phelps getting caught smoking pot. How disgraceful it is!

A million other stars can drink like a fish, and it is no problem. The fact of the matter is alcohol does exponetially more harm to society than marijuana. It is one of the bigger scams going.

And for the record I drink tons and don't smoke weed, and I realize I am doing more harm to my body and life by drinking than if I smoked weed.

IMO, it should not be illegal to "use" marijuana. Dragging pot smokers to jail is a waste of public funds. If anything, a municipal citation should be issued for consumption outside of a private residence or private club.

Of course, the big problem with the pot industry is that those who run it from the top will torture, mame and kill without conscience in order to make $.

It costs several thousand dollars to "clean up" one small meth lab b/c of all the toxicity involved. And meth labs are popping up everywhere now....

Pot should just be government regulated and taxed..... it's going to be grown and dealt as long as there is money involved.. more and more tax dollars into a bottomless pit. So potheads are lazy and snack too much, big fuckin deal. :SIB

Hell I don't know
I suppose the experience most people refer to with cops are the ones where they stop them on the side of the road putting their lives at risk in order to make an attempt to keep the person speeding from putting many others at risk for not obeying the speed limit. Who else besides a cop is going to go into a house to try to stop someone from beating their wife to death knowing they may not come out of the house alive and go home to their children? Maybe an American Soldier but they are overseas right now.

that's a great rant, better than most televized comedy. i agree with cops thumping on troublemakers. its cheaper for society and better for the criminals too. my problem is when entrapping, spying and seizing assets become their main business. cops these days seem little more than agents of the all-spying, all-taxing state. and the media sucks their cock 24/7 with garbage COPS. there's no counterweight to the cop/govt view. the government screams "terrorist" or "drug kingpin," the media fall in line. where's the sideways view? where's the chart showing the cost of drug prohibition? the media look at the government and its agents the way broadcaster buck looks at troy aikman, like they're some kind of superheroes.
