i remember a young fellow(back in the day
) who i had a disagreement with regarding what constituted "a front page article" in the nyt`s.... turns out he was mistaken,admiitted he made a mistake and was given high praise for being such a stand-up guy...
it was an "embiggening" moment in our relationship and imo,cemented an internet friendship...

the senior citizens will be the first of the conveniently disposable based on governmental criteria...the middle class senior citizens,that is... (i`m sure congress-critters won`t be included in this insanity)...
defunding/quashing of medical research based on "cost"...."life expectancy tables" and "bureaucrats "(not doctors) deciding whether seniors are "eligible" for life enhancing and extending treatments?....
if the federal gov`t doesn`t deem your treatment financially appropriate,it`s g`night grandpa and grandma...
whereas in an open market system,they`d be able to get the needed treatment...
truly scary...
i`m sure child monitors will be ratting out their parents in the near future...

In the next thread you start we can debate whether scams are an inherit part of capitalism - but not here.
GW - my 2nd favorite mma guy - I think that the Republicans are having fallout from the election as no one from the party has stepped up to lead.

We are bordering on moot until a senator starts to address these issues or enough phone calls from constituents are made.

i honestly wonder how many pols with these large staffs on either side of the aisle actually read the legislation...most of this stuff is being unearthed by bloggers...
btw...i think dtb made a mistake and i`m sure, as he indicated, he feels badly about it....he`s a good guy...
