thanks to i.e. for posting those 5 dimes props....would`ve slid right by if he hadn`t posted....

i think that penn at +185 was a steal...i think many in hollywood think rourke is nuts(and many outside hollywood for that matter).......and whether he deserves to win or not, penn has some unspoken advantages going for him here given the nature of the voting constituency.....

and langella at +4 digits was worth a look...maybe penn and rourke negate one another and langella steals one:shrug:...not likely, but you`d think skewering nixon plays well in hollywood...

thanks again i.e...

how f-cking predicatable are these hollyweird moonbats?......

of course penn wins over rourke, langella and pitt... .....and of course,a great actor like charlton heston barely gets any applause when they did the in memorium segment because of politics.......

just as predicatable as could be...

thanks to the academy for the predictable +185 winner...

and thanks again to i.e. for pointing me,and i`m sure many others,to the fact that there were odds up on this crap....

much appreciated...:toast:

btw...glad "slumdog" won...many fellas in here that saw it loved it....

In every category except 2 the faves won, and in those 2 that didn't the 2nd pick won.

Some massive faves won......100 bucks on Slumdog would have made ya 10 bucks......"Wall. E" would get ya 5 bucks. And if ya bet 100 on Heath that would have made ya one dollar:mj07:

The biggest payday of the night was a whopping +225 on the film "Departure"

Godd call on Penn GW:SIB

nice pickin`,boys......:thumb:

it`s always a hoot watching all those shallow fawning people fawning over all of those shallow fawning people......

you can usually count on the subject matter that garners the kudos...in no particular order:

-prostitutes-with-a-heart-of-gold
-gayness
-nazis/holocaust
-anti-war
-"gimps" and "the disabled"(particularly if they`re prostitutes)..
-actors that died the previous year or are on their death beds...

would have been a great idea to have jackman wear that wolverine outfit and threaten to slice up anyone that went on too long.....

Sorry to Hijack the thread, but but couldn't someone make a movie about a gay prostitute with a heart of gold working against the Nazi's in the French underground?

hmmm:mj03: julene...i think you have something there,my dear.......we may have to collaborate on a script...

the story of a "homeless, holocaust denying, gay muslim prostitute with a heart of gold, who has a club foot and is slated for execution"?........

we can work out the details...

have your people get in touch with my people....:walk:

Shame no real tribute to Heston and a whole 45 seconds to Newman....

These were True Talented Legends of the screen and their eras..

Spent more time pandering views of Brad + Angelina (who gives a rats ass)

Sign of the times, young is in, hail to the new "Icons"
