Tax tax and more tax........and here in cali they've even figured out a way to tax your tax!

Bastards.....

I don't know, I can see the good and bad in this....I'm just tired of the government always thinking taxation is the ONLY way to get out of a hole.

I mean, is my take accurate? They want to "legalize" it, so they can make some of the money and they do that through a tax, right?

doesn`t make much sense not to....lord knows they have lotteries and slots and horse racing......

honestly,we`re up to our asses in debt...they`re taxing all kinds of crazy shite that they have no bidness taxing..they`re on the verge of telling businesses that took no bail-out money what they can pay their people...

so why not legalize it....let `em take a piece of something that people do voluntarily.......instead of micro-managing every fricking cent a person earns through their own hard labor......

if it gets these communists out of my wallet,go for it,dude...

Of course!

I don't see the problem, unless they figure the "juice" isn't enough? If they try to squeeze more than that, I'm pretty sure bookies will stay in action just like they are right now.

Otherwise, shit! I'd rather walk down to the 7-11, or bet on-line with GovernmentBook.com

only makes good sense to legalize the vices of the masses..

in essense you are taxing those willing to give it away for a non essential good

pot and professional sports wagering should have been legalized the first day any group took in a penny profit from BINGO

ok, so how do they pass the cost on to the bettor?

Is there something you don't understand about wagering on sports?

Do you think you are doing it for "free", now? Do you think bookies do this because they are "action junkies"?

I'm being serious here, because you actually sound like you don't think illegal gambling is "taxed".

Don't think that will ever happen. When was the last time you saw the gov take on something they didn't fuck up?

;) ...excellent point,bro....i wonder what level governmentally controlled gambling would reach on the "oh my gawd" scale?....

1)really f-cked
2)super-duper f-cked
3)really super-duper f-cked
4)f-cked up beyond all recognition
5)really f-cked up beyond all recognition
6)extremely f-cked up beyond all recognition

yyz.......yep.....hey it ain't perfect but it's nice. 80% of the time odds are worse then online. But sometimes you can get really good odds on some stuff. For example you could play a parlay that would pay 10-1 online and get it at say 17-1 at your local grocery store. So sometimes it is great.

And oh yeah, can get your money right away, just go to 7-11 and pick up the cash.....now ya gotta love that:SIB

Oh and lots of talk of some provinces casinos going the way of vegas sportsbooks. I'd say in 3 years you'll have Vegas style sportsbooks here. Just a matter of time.

I'm pretty sure if these guys don't offer actual wagering.....they will find they won't make shit.

I can't believe you guys play that horseshit, when you can call a book!

ummm, no, I think I get it.

Now instead of JUST the bookie getting his piece, uncle sam will take a piece ALSO on top of it.... making it MORE expensive for the person betting.

isn't that a bad thing? if not, maybe I don't understand.

YYZ.....as I said ain't perfect, but if you pick your spots you can crush em. 80% of the time it is a bad bet, but sometimes you can get sweet sweet odds. I mean way way better then online or vegas. But it is for parlays only.

But hey I am a sucker I guess I love parlays, so guess I'm an idiot:142smilie

UNCLE SAM WILL BE THE BOOKIE!

And if he's not, why would you care? You don't care about the tax the casinos in Vegas pay, do you?
