NBA FRI 032709 early thoughts - value hunting (NO PICKS INSIDE)

Ok...I'm sorry. Some of you have called me out on my "day off." I swear it was a last minute thing. I got a call from a friend and I just couldn't pass. It wasn't something I wanted to post since it wasn't my play. I did post it on WBA's POD 2 hours before tip and some of you caught it. It's just that I didn't cap the game personally so I didn't want to put it out there like I did.

My thoughts on FRI. You guys know how I feel about Friday. I call it square dancing night and most of the time, I'm right. I'm not jumping on any game early for one reason only. The games I see having any value at all are going to get a bump from the public. I'm going to play the waiting game and stalk my prey if you will.

I'm still down for the week but there may be a chance I can end this week on a positive note. I am by no means chasing into this weekend. Not my style. I've scanned the weekend card and I'm very optimistic. Let's hope this translate.

I did! Also took CHI 2H. Won a $100 free play account from BetJamaica via the old place as well, which was a pleasant surprise. It's good to be profitable again! All the red from my spreadsheets was starting to blind me, LOL!

Happened to Detroit tonight - despite initially being competitive against teams after losing Hamilton (following Wallace), the team is losing steam fast - players earmarked for limited minutes are logging more than they ought to and it's costing them down the stretch.

Would favor the Magic and Cavaliers given this circumstance w/ their opposition tomorrow night, but backdoor covers a possibility given the line for sides since playing lax defense by scrubs off the bench for both teams isn't an unheard of phenomenon.

Pass on those.

Will continue to mull over what else is available for now and see what else pops up in the morning.

Distinct possibility PNP - had made some on paper only wagering (for observational assessment/analysis) for the Thursday's 3 games; Pistons 1H among them - would have covered if played - Detroit not having enough manpower to carry them through yet again come the 2nd half - mirror image of Chicago although Pistons up 10 early in the 3rd before Jackson went ballistic on the Lakers.

I did want to add before signing off that the Spurs looked a LOT better w/ the return of Manu - they just hummed w/ more purpose and a crispness that had been missing during his absence. If he's healthy for the rest of the time the Spurs are alive in the playoffs, they may be able to ambush opponents here and there.

Yeah - I got hammerd with Memphis loosing.

The WBA is username of a person from the other site 'covrs' and they rub a thread every day for people to list rheir 1 POD in Pro hoops - the person keeps track of abt 300 cappers - most 'hacks' like me - but several that are above 60%. It's like a contest - no prizes or anything - but it sure does let ya meet some really good cappers and follow them - it's how many of us met Ax - but their was so much drama - we wanted to find a site that we cud have some good discussion. Many of us still visit the site (some daily), but , this is our new home for gettin work done. Take care got to zzzzzzzzzzzzz
