Let's see if I can add some icing on this cake I made and keep this OVER achieving business going just a little longer. I'm hitting half times, tennis matches, and pretty good with sides too lately. Sorry I don't keep tract of my record like many of the good cappers do around here or even the not so good ones who are willing to share the plays they took the time to handicap with everybody. But I got my hands/head full just trying to keep up with the Madness. I copied three of my recent plays (parlays) below so that I can verify what RIDICULOUS half time winners I've nailed in my last two parlay plays. I write "RIDICULOUS" cause - I don't put much time into figuring halftimes, STILL I can't lose lately. I think this will be the last time I post my plays that I DIDN'T post even though there's no evidence that anybody is tailing my plays anyway. Actually, the one before these three I posted below, a 3 teamer, WON as well. Sheesh! It just isn't ethical to show off without "putting up the goods".

The games are getting harder to pick and look VERY competitive from this point on. So far, I'm going with..... ..

Pitt -6 (is that the "hook", I'm buying? Trying to stay cool with the lingo, ya know ).: Pretty much a "bullfrogs vs. tadpoles" or "Bullies vs. Nerds" type game in this one. Blair will be pushing the mosquitoes out of the way for the rebounds and Young will likely continue doing his thing on the other side of the court. I am a bit surprised Xavior got this far.

Missouri +4 1/2 : I'm still disgusted with the loss in that dang Utah St. game; liked them a lot as an upsetter and just missed. AND didn't play them singly or in a parlay with the points. UGH. Not this time - I'm gonna play the Tigers M.L. with a tennis match (Gotta apologize, I haven't picked the tennis match yet. If anyones's interested, please respond) in a 2 teamer. AND the Tigers +4 1/2 as a single, side play. I wrote comments for this one in my last thread.

Arizona/Ville OVER 139: YES, Dimes will offer this at 139 at a bargain price, I'm quite sure. Right now it's 139 1/2. I'll be on 139 no matter what. Like Memphis, I've pretty much erased the notion in my brain about Louisville being the SUPER, DUPER Defensive Machine they're sposta be. Phooey! MoreHead St. scores 74 ... ... .. Siena scores 79 (yeah, yeah, they're good... MAYBE?) on them. Sheeet - both Zona and the 'Cats are gonna be racing back and forth on that court tonight like they were in Daytona. Oh, and YES ---- Zona BELONGS. :Yep:

That's it for now, maybe another one coming? Prob. not though.

Think I got the speed up there pretty good, now I/we just gotta cruise on home accross the finish line and then pick up the loot.

BTW, I gotta believe that maybe some of the 650+ visitors to my last thread may be getting ready to pound a tennis pick. That is one reason I included that last parlay where a TENNIS PLAY already ruined a parlay with basketballers I really like. Before I started posting bbers here on Jack's Place - each one of 3 winning baskets parlays were RUINED by ONE, STINKIN tennis play. EACH parlay had a different tennis play too. Bottom line is - tail a tennis play softly -> GOOD IDEA.

Pound one of my tennis picks -> BAD IDEA.

The way my basketballers have been running -a good sized MEDIUM tail on one of them, IF YOU ALSO think my team has a shot. may be the best idea. Just sharing my thoughts here.

I only post plays that I feel a little extra confident about and usually I'm more confident about my side plays than my O/Us. That AIN'T the case with this O/U though. Sure looks like this one is a case of, "more shots = more pts.". Gotta believe that there will be many more shot attempts in this game cause of so much of .....kurby

Now, lets just hope that the dang ball goes through the hoop for plenty of them. And I ain't scared that Zona won't put up their share to help make this thing go OVER. Why?.... cause they ALREADY proved that they BELONG.

AFTER, I put my plays in - I like to mossey around the net to see what cappers have to say. Don't know why I do that cause asfaras I'm concerned - cappers concensus, point moves, most trends (you know like, "How a team does on Thursdays (LOL), smart money, etc. ..... . is meaningless to me. I've been there, done that and paid the price by going off my pick too many times. I do pay attention to the bestest of cappers though and will adjust MY play concerning bet amounts. That is, add to my plays already in based on what they say. Funny thing is that I think many of the best cappers do go by that stuff, but maybe they know how to filter through it. I got enough problems just figurin them out myself.

But, thanks to "Ools", from another forum for posting the following (that made me take notice :scared )...

"Since 1998 in the Sweet 16, underdogs of more than 5 points have a straight-up record of 2-37. By the time you read this article, Missouri might fall into that Titanic-like group as they are 4.5 underdogs at the time of writing this piece."

(I'm thinking of adding a tennis play cause the two I used with a couple of the basketballers above both won already today. The tennis plays were mild favorites. More than likely though, I prob. won't because I don't want to push my luck with the tennis plays. A few weeks ago some of them killed my ballers in parlays.)

I am on all the single plays listed above already. Let's consider them all for 1 Unit.

Hell, I'm happy enough that Pitt pulled that one out cause I thought Xav. could not stay with them.

On to Mizzou and Zona/Ville OVER. Really looking forward to that second one.

Easier for me to just post my "pending" parlays and anybody can see who I like that I didn't post and haven't started yet. Tennis plays are in there also.

That "down one" really sucked though with Young shooting a SECOND free throw for the PUSH. Right up the ole ying yang... .. . :moon:
(funny thing about that game though is that I felt lucky coming away from that game, just seeing that they pulled out the WIn alone.)

And after all the good stuff I wrote (prev. thread) about Mizzu, I had to make a MoneyLine (+170) play on them. Due to my tremendous tennis pick record I just had to add an "easy" tennis play to really make it a nice payday. BINGO, tennis play killed it... there ya go! Doesn't look like all the comments I wrote about that game did me any good...or anybody else any good neither. I gotta cool it with all the comments (you know -> blah, blah, blah).

BUT, those little parlays just keep on clicking. :00hour

Somehow the bankroll is growing though. Prob. due to some other parlays (with the basketballers I've posted + tennis "boosters") that also cashed that I didn't post. I don't think anybody is going through those parlays I post anyways.

Now - for what YOU'RE really interest in

I believe the best play going today is the Zona/Ville OVER play. I got enough on it in the live parlays, but lets make that single play a 2 UNIT jobbie for the forum's sake.

I don't like to post something I didn't play YET - but right now I'm callilng Oklahoma (-1. +1, pick, or whatever it's at now) a STRONG lean. I got them in a pending parlay, but I'm really on the fence about getting some single action on them. I think I prob. will.

Congrats to all the NOVA backers around here. AND those who were smart enough to just play that dang Mizzu team straight up, by themselves. :mj16:

Just pull a basketbrawler out from those parlay listings, MJers.

This isn't an ego trip but since I'm pretty new here and I don't post my records, I'm just trying to give the 600+ VIEWERS (whoever they are) a little bit about how I do.

I'd be embarrased to tellyas what my college football record was - well, not embarassed but maybe holding an umbrella up to not get hit with all the rotten tomatoes coming my way. NO, I didn't do badly. On the contrary - NOBODY would believe me. My season was slightly positive, but it was the last two weeks and esp. the BOWL games that I achieved a record that I'll never match again. It's all on the forum that I came from.. and it's just unbelieveable. Just keep in mind it was POST SEASON.

Baseball - so/so season (I don't play bases that much anyway cause I've never had a decent winning season). BUT, it was POST SEASON that put me ahead last year. I started basing my picks on trends (COMPLICATED trends with off the wall rules I dreamed up). It started to work and I just follow MY OBSERVATIONS for most of the playoff games and the Series. Did pretty good.

Now I've been picking it up for COLLEGE baskets and don't ya know - hell, this is really Post Season. So I'm a Post Season Specialist. Now, here's the part that will realy sound crazy... er, read crazy - whenever there's only a limited no. of games left to a sport till the end of that sport's season AND IF (that's a big "IF") I'm quite a bit ahead - I only play ONE stinkin game per day and STOP playing after one loss. I was at this point near the absolute end of col. FB with only 4 game days with the Championship Game being the last one. (Yeah, I did make it all the way to the big game and won that one as well. All ATS plays too.). No All STAR or North vs. South stuff... You kniow, no "Carnaval type games".

Ok, so now I'm getting real close to that point in baskets, not quite there yet. One decent sized siingle play or a "nice little" mix of tennis and baskets in a parlay should do the trick and I'll draw the line. I don't have to bet on a game to enjoy it (must be blessed) so no matter what, I'll enjoy Detroit when they get there even without a dollar on the game. Why do I do this?... for whatever reason, I HATE to give back anything once I'm far ahead, not one cent. I do the same thing at the racetrack. I've driven 50 miles to the track, hit a HUGE exacta in the first or second race, lost the 3rd race and well before the next race, I'm a quarter of the way home in the car. (BTW, DO follow my spot horsie plays. I rarely find one and they all don't win, but when they do... average win price is well over $40 and my ROI is outrageous with a long record of them too. Wheel the horse top/bottom in exactas, only $2 tickets, for every pick and you'll have more than one 1099 form with your Income Tax papers to file like I do. They're in my former forum too.

Sooo... looks like I'll be posting one more at least. But, if you'd like to know what my nos. say about a particular game even if I go on Sabatical - do a reply in this thread cause I still work out the nos. anyways just to see how I woulda done even if I stop posting/playing for real. Win or lose the plays I don't bother with doesn't matter; I'll be happy just sitting around and waiting for the mailman, if ya know what I mean. :0corn

Problems, problems

Problems, problems

Been having some car trouble, something I can fix myself though but it takes some time.

At this point I only have 2 leans, one strong and one not so strong for today. I'd like to check out a couple of other things before actually putting them in. EVERYone of those parlays I had listed cashed... . it's getting to be ALL good.

I should be able to get back here right after I put one or both in before gametime... I HOPE.

Anybody like/don't like Notre Dame? (that's the weaker Lean). Even the dang cable went out for a short spell LATE last night just when I tried to check on injuries (I DO check pretty much EVERYthing before posting/playing).

No worries though, I'm putting the Obama fix into play... now, where is that dang Mailman.:director:
